Looking for advice on buying a more professional grade digital DSLR camera - not a point and shoor but more professional. I am pretty uneducated when it comes to cameras like this.
I used to be pretty deep into photography - abstract and nature landscapes mostly. I am clueless as to whats a good camera though.
What kind of camera do you use for your photography? Include model number if youre able to. Any advice is surely appreciated. Probably dont want to spend more than $400 on it. Let me know what you think!

Professional grade DSLRs don't fit in the budget mentioned by you. But don't worry, you won't need one right now. Since you've mentioned that you are uneducated in this, I presume that you want to shift from point & shoot to DSLR. In that case you will need a entry level model which is intended for people like you. They are less expensive, feature full auto mode for the beginners but at the same time offer great image quality, full manual control and compatible with all the lenses of the particular brand. My recommendation for you is Nikon D3300. It comes with a 18-55 mm zoom kit lens which is excellent for general purpose photography. You may consider the dual lens kit as well which will add one 55-200mm zoom lens for longer zoom range, but cost will be more. At present it's selling for a little more than 400 bucks. If your budget is strict then you can go for the D 3200 as well which is almost same except for some minor improvements of the later model. Don't go for the latest D3400, you will have to pay extra for nothing useful. If you familiarise yourself with the D3300 and exploit all the functions to it's full potential appropriately, you will find what amazing results you can pull out from this little champ. Happy shooting!
