The city council of Bodegraven, in the Netherlands, has installed a system that illuminates with a red and green line the ground to warn pedestrians addicted to the mobile when it is dangerous to cross the street. At the moment the system is installed in four points of Bodegraven, still in test phase, but other municipalities of Holland have shown their interest in adopting this illumination. Social networks, WhatsApp applications, and music often have people with their heads down and their eyes focused on the screen of the mobile, instead of traffic. In addition, people who wear headphones with music also do not notice where they go or hear what is around them and that is a double risk, warns the official. It is to avoid abuses, so what do you think?

This is a wonderful idea! But even with the government efforts, people should still mind, and not just focus on the phones. Those lines can't save lives if we still won't mind.

Awesome idea. The US could benefit by doing this as well. I just wonder if it really helps.
