I've been working at a reputable position in a very reputable organization which is indeed world 's no 1 company. But when the shift ends in the evening, i don't have anything to do. Well that sounds strange, might be my body wants me to work more physically and mentally too, but working double shifts ain't encouraged these days legally.
India is still behind part time jobs and way to behind in providing or encouraging today's youth because of very high level of competency and lack of ideas. Talent one possesses is not able to utilize it because we all lack confidence.

You should look for something to fill your time which relaxes body and mind. You may think that you can work non-stop, yet, after a while, your body will tell you that this isn't a good idea.
Why don't you join a sports club or look for a different kind of hobby where you can meet people who're not work related.

Working dual shifts must not be encouraged as it affects in two ways:
First being, it gives conflicts among the colleagues as it will incur few differences from them. This might not be very much important, but having social support is sometimes a must.
Second, Absolutely, its about health. Age from 20-30 is what everyone thinks of doing such shifts, but it keeps on hollowing your own body and deteriorates your health.
Third and foremost, you must mingle with your family and ensure to have as much as meaningful talks and time with them. Who knows, how much time we have with the people with love and care.
Maintain work life balance, you can learn things on the go but having people with you whom you care for is nothing unavoidable.

Good thing there is mylot that you can have some time from your spare time. Have some things that can kill your free time. You can do some stuff that interest you, or that can eager you to explore more. In that case you can easily kill time that you can't notice it.

If you are under 40 and have no family then yes. If you have family and under 40 then no.
After 40, working two shifts will break your health so it's not possible. But working 2 shifts before reahcing 30 won't hurt your body. And for saving money it is good idea.

nurture your hobbies... as you already mentioned you are in a reputable position in a very reputable organization so I think you are having good savings.. Dont worry about money, enjoy the life... spend time with family, friends and girl friends.. they are the actual savings you will have in the end of the life..

do you have hobbies? try to involve yourself in different things you like the most. most of my friends love to watch movies after work, some like to play football while many of them like reading books. I don't think part time job is really needed after full time job already in place.
