Photography is something that i am interested in but i don't have that special something that can make me take very spectacular wow pictures. Sometimes i catch the perfect moment but it isnt easy. Do you think this is something we can learn or you need to have the "eye" to be able to be a great photographer?

I think it can be both. Obviously having an eye for it makes it easier but if you just take some classes to get to know your camera and how to use all the function on it then you can take some really great photos. I am self learning at the moment and have only taken a basic scrap the top of different forms of media that included Photoshop & photography but nothing in depth. Most of my stuff I am learning from YouTube & Pinterest. I want to apply to the only program for professional photography through the University of New York one day but for now it is a hobby. I believe I have somewhat of a good eye for it. I also think that most of my pictures are good. I have posted several on here to share with people & get their opinions on it so feel free to check them out.

Wow thank you. I am going to start and find some things online also to help me out. I have some what of an eye for ideas i guess but cant translate them into the foto. Maybe because i dont know the right techniques to do so. My boyfriend is an amatuer fotografer also and i think ill ask him some stuff to help me improve my photography. Thank you

@Absinto YouTube helps a lot. I have picked so many thing in the last year. It also helps if you have a good quality camera as well. The better you get to know your camera the easier it becomes and the more things you can buy and use with it like a tripod, more lens, and filters. I just bought 6 new filters & a cleaning kit. I got lucky because the company I bought the filters from has a YouTube channel that explains when and how to use their products.

Photography is an art and any art can be learned. It is basically painting a picture with an obscura. You have to learn the techniques to be good at anything. You can either be good at drawing or learn to be good at drawing, you can be good at sports or learn to be good at sports. It takes time and practice. Even the best still need practice.

You do have a point. This is something i would love to understand and learn. Techniques to make myself a better photographer. I also want to have a certain domain. I love taking pictures of nature and animals which is something that i think if i practised on i would get better at.

I think you just need to learn how to use the camera. And then the angle and lights are is up to you how will you want it to look on your photos. I mean it will come out naturally. But seminars can help you improve to it.
