breakfast for dinner

I'm about to make a stack of pancakes so I can get a head start on dinner. Not sure what else we're having with it. I may ask someone to grab a pack of turkey bacon at the grocery store while they're out running errands... still, a high starch meal with a tiny bit of protein doesn't seem very balanced. I can saute a pan of spinach and scramble some eggs, but I know a few of the kids won't touch that.
How do you make breakfast for dinner into a balanced meal?

Why does it have to be balanced? Life is short-eat what you like.
Oh, and I had spinach earlier today with garlic and olive oil. Not balanced. Don't care. One thing great about being an adult (maybe one of the few things!) is that there is no one here to tell me something else must be served with my spinach.

@spiderdust It should be okay for them to have a meal that is a little off-balance once in a blue moon, shouldn't it?
When we were kids we often had waffles for dinner on Sundays.

@PatZAnthony They've had more than a blue moon's worth of off-balanced meals lately. Am I really having to justify wanting to feed my kids a healthier meal?

I'm feeding 5 children in addition to the adults.

Yeah, but I don't think the kids would go for that (although I would).

@spiderdust I love pancakes, they are my favorite food. Add some eggs, there's a perfect meal! :)

I do not eat dinner and when I decide to have pancakes I have them for lunch and to me they are filling enough to not really want anything else with them.
