Why Do Many American Politicians And Police Officers Protect Illegal Immigrants?!

Illegal immigrants are not legal immigrants! They should be sent back to their respective countries to apply for immigration to the U.S.A. LEGALLY! Am I right or wrong? If I am right (Actually, I believe I am), why are there (stupid) politicians and even sheriffs protecting these illegal immigrants by giving them sanctuary instead of enforcing the law?! America is all politics! I fear one day these stupid politicians and media will eventually wake up but it will be too late. I just hope (and pray) not one or two similar to 911 will ever happen. Scary!

From my reading about this issue Canada does way more to protect illegal immigrants than the US does.

@Mike197002 . . Illegal immigrants here in Canada are being sent back to their countries. But what scares me more is our Prime Minister welcoming thousands of Muslim refugees. In fact, 2 years ago . . all overstaying foreign workers were sent home.

@LoriAMoore Canada does not protect illegal immigrants. In fact, a Filipino illegal immigrant was sent home last month. Why are there sanctuaries in New York and other cities spending billions of dollars for these undocumented immigrants. What do these politicians want to happen? They want them to become legal residents?

I look at like this. We the ones hire them. I look at like this. We complain about people not trying to improve their lives. Why do they come here. Because we hire them and they want to improve their lives. Our very own President has been known to do this, now wants to mass deport them. Probably a few years later you will here how they are hiring them again. Why, because they want to shift attention. The country is corrupt even more than I knew.

@crossbones27 Some, not all but SOME Trump supporters have blinders on when it comes to him. They'd believe him if he said grass is blue and then not mind it a bit if he changed his mind the next day and said it's purple. They're living in a reality TV world full of alternative facts.

@anniepa Another example of how people believe what the want to believe and do not care all that much about facts when it comes to supporting Trump.

I don't understand it either. On the day the "immigrants" were supposed to stay home one mom said her little girl had a great day at school because there weren't 40 kids in her class but only about 25. Our children would be better off, we wouldn't have our taxes spent on support of criminals--and illegals are criminals, they break a federal law the moment they come over the border without permission. The country would be much better socially and financially if all immigrants were legal.

@antonbunot There are things I don't like about him, too, but overall I think he wants to do some good for this country. I'm glad we can agree about this issue. I'm open to taking people in but they have to come here legally and they can't have hatred us. I feel so bad for those refugee children.

@dragon54u You know . . this is just my opinion . . America should set aside politics for the time being . . these politicians from both sides should come together and decide what to do best with these 11 million illegal immigrants . . . I would recommend that all those good illegal immigrants should be given legal status . . and all future people entering the USA illegally should be sent back home without question.

Kaya nga illegal kasi hindi legal ( It is illegal because it's not legal) . That is so true. Actually there are many illegal immigrants in the US so it means there are many corrupt law enforcers and politicians too in the US. So, corruption is NOT "only in the Philippines" , after all.

@ridingbet . . A big problem now for Canadians like me . . . Droves of illegal African immigrants coming from the USA are crossing the border and heading to Montreal and Manitoba to apply for asylum. And our stupid prime minister is welcoming them. He already accepted almost 30000 Syrian refugees last year. Canadians are angry!

@antonbunot of course, you Canadians will feel angry and disappointed. why does your PM do that? is Canada that big to accommodate all those illegal immigrants crossing the border? or, when is your national election?

@ridingbet Election of a prime minister (equivalent to a president) here in Canada is stupid and crazy. We don't elect or vote a candidate for prime minister. We elect a party. Whichever party wins the most numbers of provincial ministers (equivalent to governors in the Philippines) automatically makes its party leader the prime minister. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is the leader of the Liberal Party. This is the party that won most of the provincial seats in the last federal election. O yeah, Canada is one of the G7 countries! It is rich! How rich, you may ask. I give you and example - "My wife had undergone 3 surgeries (one major) and we paid or spent nothing!" Here if one is lazy to find employment, he/she can just go to the nearest "welfare office" and apply for welfare benefits . . so, he/she can stay home watching TV, eating popcorns or peanuts . .

According to Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly he says in his commentary that politicans either have a global viewpoint like a New World Order or they want the illegal immigrants to vote for them in the elections to stay in power. It is sobering to think we have not learned our lesson of 9-11-01.

@antonbunot Here is an insiders look at the 'refugees' coming in USA and a contracter who is their first contact. She opted out of this crooked progam julito. It is eye opening for sure. Illegals are a whole other matter.
Refugees are flown in at night and given SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS and PASSPORTS completely non-vetted. Share this EVERYWHERE!!

First of all, contrary to what some people believe these sanctuary cities don't protect immigrants who commit crimes. They're subject to the same laws and prosecution any criminal is. The fact is illegal immigrants tend to be far less likely to be criminals than native born Americans, likely in part because they don't want to be caught and deported. Which leads to the reason for the sanctuary cities... When crimes are committed the mayors and police departments in these cities don't want witnesses or even victims to be reluctant to come forward due to the fear of being deported. They prefer to deal with the actual crimes in question.

@Funkrocker Funny but this was one post in which I didn't even the mention the so-called POTUS's name but now that YOU mentioned him I can't see where he has or will do any good. I don't think it's fair or at all warranted to call cities "rotten" and "crime-filled" because the fact is crime has been steadily coming down for years. Trump wouldn't have a clue about how to be a mayor and he thinks he's capable of being President?

Ask people in the inner city if they like the way things are being run. Trump is not the mayor of all these rotten,crime-filled, cities. You can't blame him for everything.

@Hatley Becoming a citizen is something that takes a long time. It also means (in most cases) turning in your foreign passport. In the case of my relatives, they wanted the freedom of being able to travel and live in the States. It was rather like having their cake and eating it, too. In some cases, dual citizenship was available. I don't know the details. Let me be clear: they all came here legally. They just overstayed their visas.

What about if they're here illegally from Canada or some other non-Mexican country? Some members of my family came here on student visas and merely overstayed their visas. A few of the things that helped them get away with it were 1) They spoke English 2) They had family in this country and 3) They had some job skills.

Our agriculture is dependent on migrant farm workers-/immigrants-and so are other segments of our economy--like it or not, they are likely here to stay--and though I am sorry that you are afraid of Muslims, I cannot imagine that you would be intolerant of a religion --unless you would like others to be intolerant of your religion

@antonbunot I am simply looking at what is--the way our agricultural system is design depends on immigrant labor--and will continue to do so until and unless, we all are willing to pay much ore money for food--immigrant labor is cheap--and with regard to my Muslim comment, I was responding to one of your comments below--you didn't specify Islamic extremists in your response to Mike--you just said Muslims--I agree, that it is a religion of peace

@divalounger Well, what you are implying is in every rule/law there is an exception. Since your agriculture sector needs these illegal immigrants, who are paid the minimum wage or even less, and in order to avoid prices of agricultural products to skyrocket, your government should take this illegal immigration on case by case basis. Since they entered your country illegally they should not be given legal immigrant status; however, those with no criminal record should be granted work permit. And those with criminal records should be deported. As far as religions are concerned (Islam and Christianity in particular), I believe these 2 would be better if they (muslims and Christians) live away from each other.

@divalounger What you are saying is because the USA needs farm workers it is okay for illegal immigrants to enter your country without work visa? With regard to the muslim religion or Islam I don't have problem with it . . In fact, it is a religion of peace. I am talking about Islamic extremists.

It is important to remember the terrorists who perpetrated 911 entered the country legally. Herr Trump seems determined to rid the country of each and every illegal immigrant no matter how well or ill behaved they have been while they've been here and whether or not they are, other than in the way they entered the country, law abiding and taxpaying workers or not.
