Going Down the Nature Trail - Today I was "clued in" to the existence of a real, live nature trail here in the development to which we just moved - Grand Oaks in Magnolia. Actually, the entrance to the nature trail is right by the end of the street on which our new home stands. It was a bit of a rough ride for the little mobility scooter, but down the nature trail it went, over roots and rocks and whatever else lay there along the path, with me hanging on . It was a pretty trail ride with trees and gullies to go by, while listening to all of the wild birds and the wind singing in the pine trees along the way. Eventually the nature trail ended at the street leading back to our new home. I arrived there just on time to give our youngest great-granddaughter a ride to the back yard battery charger and a congregation of our crew with a big bunch of new neighbors and their gazillion kids. Having hitched a ride to the "big lot store" in the town of Tomball, Texas, this morning, I bought some color ink cartridges to fit the computer printer. Made a keeper printout of the nature trail for the family to keep and enjoy. It is the same collage print with a trail composite view that is shown above. @minx267 - My guess is that your comment makes a gret deal of sense - "live in the city? make pix in the city." -Gus-

@minx267 - In every "block" there is a picture worth saving with your camera. Big things, little things, all kinds of things. Nature photos are super savers, but even city scenes can be rewarding. -Gus-

What a sedate little place. I am sure it will be quite beautiful as the weather changes as well. More greenery and more shade, and when the fall comes around again, some golden leaves to view. I think pretty much every place I've lived has had some sort of hidden gem like this. There is one that I remember fondly. It was in the far corner of the recreational park in our housing development. You would go into the bit of woods with a small trail and could see the beautiful creek that the park was named after. It actually made me think of an area near where my great grandmother lived in life. It was a small clearing and the way the sun shone down on it made it seem very special.

@Ceerios Definitely nice, and it doesn't hurt that the memories can promote calm.

@ScribbledAdNauseum - Howdy again, "ER" - There is usually at least one place that you and I will remember and see again when we close our eyes. Nice, isn't it? -Gus-

That is so nice to have a little bit of nature so close by and convenient. I live in nature basically all around me though!

The stars do stand out a lot in a desert region.

@jhechorain - Although nature can sometimes be rather cruel, most of the time it is more interesting than most other stuff. I particularly like to look up at the stars of a dark night, especially away from city lights, such as when out in the desert area of California, etc. -Gus-

The collage is lovely and the trail looks and sounds great... I'm glad you were able to go round it on your mobility scooter... even if it was a bit bumpy...

Looks like you need to modify that thing with a big tail pipe and bigger tires.

Is Magnolia in any particular State? I'm going to guess Texas, or a state that borders Texas.

@TheHorse - Guess no more. It is Texas. There are "two Magnolias" (actually only one) - The old Magnolia where we now live and the "new" Magnolia, down the road some. -Gus-

It's good the developer made your place eco-friendly and not cut up the trees to make room for more houses.
