Airline Changed Flight Schedule

February 23, 2017 7:48pm CST
I originally booked a flight to a local destination for February 25-27. It's a short weekend trip that I booked last year. I'm pretty excited because I have this vow of travelling via plane at least once a year. Then, last month, I noticed a discrepancy on my flight schedule. I thought it was just a glitch that the flight schedule shows February 26, 2017, 10:20am departure for my flight out and February 27, 2017, 3:10pm departure for my flight home. It also showed me a link to re-select flights if the new schedule doesn't work. I really dunno whether to take it or not since their system keeps giving me error message when I try to change my flight. It's crazy! What can I do on an overnight trip. It's supposed to be for a vacation, not a business trip. Should I still go?

Can you call the airlines to make sure about the tickets?

@LeaPea2417 it's a local airline. Perhaps they have overbooked on those dates. Good thing though is that my travel dates can be moved as long as it falla on weekends.

I would call and speak to a live rep and get them to do it for you so there are less chances of a screw up.

They might have overbooked for February 25, that's why. I did call the hotline and gladly, they were able to fix the schedule.

If the new schedule suits you, by all means go. It's already been paid for, hasn't it?

Yes, last year. Unfortunately, they shortened my trip.

Oh, that's a bummer! But will they give you a full refund if you cancel it since they're the ones who messed up your schedule?

@jainaproudmoore That is great news! So, when will your trip be?

...and an update, I was able to get in touch with their customer service line, finally! They are willing to give a free re-booking/re-routing/full refund. Whichever I prefer. I opted for re-booking. And gladly, they were very accommodating in switching it to new dates.
