I am really concerned about the rising water-borne contaminants in the rivers and creeks. Eventually they find their way to our seas, ingested by fish and the fish going back to our table, in a way we eat our own garbage. Why, even the salt we use mostly came from the sea so nobody is really safe even if one is a non-seafood consumer. Maybe it is one of the cause of our illnesses and sickness we feel from time to time?

Yes, the government should be on the forefront of saving the environment, Moreover, the initiative should also come from the citizens themselves, a program is only effective if fully supported by the people, social responsibility is one way to help mitigate the rising pollution problem.
