Good for you! That was uncalled for. My own kids did not see doctors often at all, they were disgustingly healthy. My great neice lived with me for several years, had lots of health problems, and all but one doctor were great with her. We went for a test to a pediatric neurologist, who for some reason obviously did not like her, she was chatty. He was good with other families, I saw that. Luckily she had no seizure activity, and we did not go back.

I like one particular Doctor in the office, and there are lots of them I don't like, but the one female doctor I prefer is so great, I stay there becuase she is there. We don't do well child visits anyway, so we are only there when the kids are sick. This doctor will squeeze us in when the baby is in need. It's nice.

I don't really like to go to Dr. either, but you need them sometimes.

funny i should respond to this one today because i had to take my son in for an appointment and i met our NEW doctor today.. the place that we go is a part of our hospital, they are usually interns there and i feel that i'd rather have one of them as my primary ANYDAY!! she was absolutely WONDERFUL!! the reason i prefer a newer (intern or the like) primary care physiscian is really because in a sense you get 2 doctors! everything has a second opinion automatically!!.. its great! and the thing is i think that since they are new.. they are generally more careful, more patient, and tend to not have "had the years take a toll on them!".. please dont mistake what im saying.. i dont feel there is ANYTHING wrong with a typical doctor or primary family provider.. i just think that these particular people suit are family needs better,.. and its great because theyre learning too! they listen and care about EVERYTHING you have tosay.. and if theyre unsure of ANYTHING!!! they will run right to their supervisor for a second opinion! she was very good with my son today and so was her supervisor (who had to do the ear check cuz my son just "wasnt havin it") and honestly! ive never seen someone just soooo extremely wonderful with my son!..im very happy with our doctors!.. to answer your question!

I love most of our Drs. Most of them are really good. We do have an Orthopedist, he is good, just doesn't explain much. He is older and he walks in and says this is what we need to do.... Sometimes it is overwhelming, but he is right in the longrun. He just is not a people person. His nurse follows behind him, I think to explain and calm parents. She is really good also.

It takes special people to work with the kids and your lucky if you find good ones.

I had one doctor that yelled at my kids for making noise while they were playing with the toys in the reception area. Because I was very sick when I saw the doctor, I didn't have the energy to say anything to him. I wrote a lengthy letter to him and broke my connection with him. I told him that I didn't pay him to be my children's disciplinarian. I further went on to say that if he didn't have the patience to work with children, he shouldn't allow them in his practice.

Well, my son is grown up now but I have the honors of going with my grandson to the doctors. He has several medical conditions and requires many visits to the doctor. I have found most of his doctors are very nice and so are the nurses and even the receptionists. But we have to travel about an hour to get there. I would not trust the doctors around where I live to be able to take care of him, mainly because they don't have any experience with what is wrong with him. He needs to see specialists.

We have been so extremely lucky once I found the right pediatrician for my kids. Now all 3 are teens, although she still takes them until they're like 20 or something!!!! My kids were thrilled. She is truly the best doctor around.
And my oldest daughter's doctors for her back are from the Shriners and a local Sports Med clinic. All have been wonderful, of course I've never heard a bad thing about the Shriners anyways.. so this doesn't surprise me!

Yeah!
I do like my daughters doctor. Even if she has a small cold I take her to the doctor and he doesn't think less of me, and does and checks everything he would if she was sick!

We have one family doctor who treats all of us. He is very friendly and efficient. There are rarely any waiting times, which is great when you have a sick child, and he takes extra time to explain things to them in words they can understand. So yes, I am happy with our children's doctor.

Yeah My son sees many specialists. The Gi doctor was ok at first but then when something serious happened he decided to be late all teh time for meetings so i told him I will buy him a watch!

There was one doctor I didn't like when my kids were little. He was the first pediatrician we had. I felt like he didn't listen to me and didn't give very good advice. I changed to another doctor and was much happier with him. The wait time in the waiting room was longer, but he was a good doctor.
