Throwback Sunday: My Best Solo Travel

February 26, 2017 8:25am CST
It's been four years since I went on my great solo adventure. This was the best solo travel I had... lots of fun and full of funny memories. I stumbled on a post I wrote about three years ago, quoted below.Looking back makes me smile and excited again. Life is too short. Live Life to the Fullest. It is now or never. Better to experience life than not experience it at all. ---------------------- First Stop Zip City Davao I almost back out, got scared of the heights, considering this isn't my first. Dirk, our raft guide, who happened to be at the site gave me lots of encouragement for me to try zip lining. After Zip lining, I went back to Tower Inn, Davao City to freshen up and to get my ever dependable tripod. Walked about two blocks to get to People's Park in Davao City, unfortunately, it was still closed I decided to go to Ramon Magsaysay Park to buy some fruits but I end up going back to the hotel because I forgot my wallet. Got my wallet and decided to eat at Ahfat Seafood and Grill located behind Victoria Plaza Davao . Crab dish was so delicious that I was able to finish the whole thing in less than 20 mins. Rode the jeep and walked 2-3 blocks going to People's Park Davao. Took some pictures and went to the nearby Pasulubong center to buy Pasalubong. Last Stop Riley Simon Grilled Burger & Ribs. I ordered junior bacon and cheese burger. It was good and was one of the best tasting burger I ever tasted. Ambiance is good and loved the sayings/quotations posted on the wall and on the ceiling. I was suppose to check one of the nearby coffee shop and try the durian shake but unfortunately can't find the place so I decided to go the Airport early instead. I only have 2 1/2 days in Davao. It was a short stay and was not able to do a couple things on my itinerary. I will visit Davao again, hopefully with friends, do the extreme adventures again and visit the places I missed. One day, I'll sat with my Santino and I have lots of stories to share.

Davao is big province and therr are many places to see and visit. I have been there 3 times already but mostly stayed in the city and seems that 2-3 days is not enough.

It sounds like you had a great time on your solo adventure. I have gone on solo ventures from time to time, but it is better when shared IMHO.

Travelling alone is something that one should experience and try to do. It is indeed better to have someone along doing all the crazy adventure stuff but it is also good to go out on an adventure alone. It makes a person to become more mature, in terms of decision making, and teaches you lots of things.
