Finding love.. the right way.

"It's a blind date", Peter thought, "And it better be the last one" , he reminded himself. Peter was an orphan and had always been alone most of the time. He grew up alone and had to face many difficulties and take up different kinds of odd jobs to reach where he currently was.He was running a successful grocery shop and was pretty content with life , except that he dint have anyone to share his happiness or sorrows with. He always wanted a partner to share his feelings and hence was always dating different kinds of girls. But he never had any luck. Peter has had too many girl friends in the past, andhe never survived for long with any of them. Not that it was Peter's fault, but the ladies were not understanding enough So one day he decided on this particular place where he was absolutely sure he would find his love. He had thought long and hard about it and was sure he would not regret his decision. He planned for several days. Today, the day had finally come. He was getting dressed and he tried on different shirts and ties. He wanted to look his best. He didn't know whom he was going to meet and it was a blind date. Finally, he decided on the best dress and got into the car. On the way, he was dreaming of holding his partners hand and walking home happily. He couldn't comtain his happiness. After an hour long journey, he finally reached his destination. He entered into the home, which was a bit dark and dull, but he dint mind. He was determined. There were many women inside and he was looking at everyone with great interest. One particular lady caught his interest. She was cheerful although the others were rather sad. She was making fun meals for everyone in the home and was cheering up everybody. There was a twinkle in her eyes but there was also an unexplained sorrow deep inside her heart which was visible to Peter. He followed her closely to her room. There she sighed and sat with a photograph in her hand. Tears rolling down her eyes she said, " I miss you my son". At this moment, Peter entered the room and said, "Oh Mother, will you be my love forever". The lady was shocked. " mother, i am an orphan and had been searching for love in all wrong places. I wanted not a wife, but a mother who would love me infinitely and hence came to this old age home. Will you agree to be my Mother for the rest of my life??" He asked. The lady was overjoyed. Tears still rolling down her cheeks. This time with happiness. "I lost my only son who worked in the army. And i have been lonely ever since. I would love to be a Mother again!!" , she exclaimed. Peter was overjoyed. He was proud of himself for choosing an old age home and finding a mother instead of going to pubs and finding a girl friend. The happy new-mother and new-son with their new found love drove away with big smiles to love happily ever after.
