What color of christmas lights do you prefer?

Even though I think the white lights are pretty. I do not like them as much as the colored. I've seen this one house with all blue lights. Wow!!! Very pretty! But I guess since I was raised with colored lights, that is what I like. Now....if they put out lights that were all purple! I would love those! I know all the neighbors would comment. 'Hey, you know that lady with the purple and blue hair? Would you believe she hung up all purple lights?' I have such snobs for neighbors. LOL

Ok now this is a discussion that many people need to get in on! I love Christmas lights, but there really needs to be laws or city ordainaces that need to be passed for those who decide to decorate their homes with lights. I'm all for free expression, but honestly there needs to be guidelines when decorating your homes and yards. If you choose white lights ... go with all white lights. Don't do your house trimmed in white and throw in a few trees with multi-colored lights ... this is tacky. If you go with colored lights pick one color or go with all multi-colored lights. DO NOT DO ONE STRAIN OF MULTI-COLORED AND ONE BLUE AND ONE RED! This again is tacky! Icicle lights were not meant to be multicolored and aren't meant to be hung from trees. Anything inflatable is in poor taste. Do not keep your lights up year around, especially the multicolored lights. Do not have your Christmas lights on February to October. There is the end of my ranting. :)

I have always like blue, this year I bought purple and hung them yesterday, when I turned them on though, they look pink! Oh well Merry Christmas to you

I like the multi-colored ones on the tree and they absolutely must not blink or I will have a fit.lol Now for outside, I like either the all white ones or the all blue ones.

I like to have themed trees every year, certain colors/theme. I think colored lights mess this all up. I have a Southern Miss tree (which is my alma mater) so it's all in black and gold. Anything but white lights would look bad. I like my big tree to be red and white only, so white lights are appropriate. Personally, I think multi-colored lights look tacky.

I don't put up christmas lights, but I think that the icycle lights are really pretty ( the white ones). I also think that any lights of one colour can look really nice. And the multicoloured ones too. Okay so that wasn't very decisive... I just like the lights in general - as long as they aren't up before December 1st! It really bothers me when I see Christmas display up the day after Halloween - or even before! One Hallmark had their Christmas stuff in JULY!!! How ridiculous is that?

I prefer the all white lights, but the multi-colored ones can be pretty if they aren't overdone. I really dislike some of the lights I've seen this year, though -- there were a few houses in my neighborhood that had bright orange or bright blue lights!

All white lights for me. But I usually lose the vote on this because my kids love the colored ones.

I like all kinds of ones and it depends on where I am putting them or what theme I am going with. Like this year on our tree we are doing purple & silver...so I'll probably do white and we were hoping to find a purple set, but haven't yet that we like. In the windows we do multi-colored. Around the kitchen I do plain white.

I like to see multi-colored lights. They give more life to any xmas tree.

On my windows because i don't use a lot I put multi.But my tree is all white. Now 2 years ago I sparingly put purple. Its amazing.

I think that all of the types of lights that you mentioned are pretty, but the multi-colored lights are so very lovely! I enjoy the rainbow of colors so much! ^_^ The all white lights are probably my second favorite type, though. I agree with you that they are totally beautiful! ^_^

I like the multi colored lights, because they remind me of nostalgic holidays when I was a kid, back in the days of yore! ha!

HECK YES I'M GAWDY!! Give me the big fat 80's multicolored lights any day!!
