But I made it alive by some miracle.
No really! What would you be like after this conversation?
Person A: Are you a Hindu?
Person B: Yes and who are you?
Person A: Do you eat beef?
Person B: Not at home because my parents don't. That's called respecting other's choices.
Person A: Aww no dear. Not beef. That's not right. I respect your thoughts but not beef.
Person B: It's okay. No problem.
Person A: Cow is sacred for Hindus. Do you ever see Muslims eating Pork?
Person B: Yes I have seen a few of those.
Person A: No, Muslims never eat pork.
Person B: I am sorry. But who are you?
Person A: If you have sex with your boyfriend that doesn't mean you can have sex with your brother.

Person B: Excuse me! Are you a little stupid? Did you just compare eating beef with incest?
So yeah!

@Daljinder I wonder why people accept to reply to this kind of questions. I would stop simply saying that this is a private matter and I do not intend to discuss it.

LOL! It wouldn;t stop them @LadyDuck . The concept of privacy and choices holds no meaning here for the most part.

@JudyEv Yes, it did. Hindu religion does not allow eating beef because cow is sacred for them. They worship it. So, it is a point of contention of enormous proportion for some if you are a Hindu and eat beef because you are betraying your own religion. It gets even worse if you are not a Hindu and eat beef because then you are acting against their religion.

@hereandthere Oh please! Over here, everyone is in everyone's business. They have no concept of "privacy" and "respecting choices" SMH!

@AbbyGreenhill Sorry to say but it is not a made up one. I did shorten the actual conversation and translated it into English. But it did take place.

But why did she in the first place entertain a stranger to that conversation?

@allknowing He wasn't exactly a stranger. He was her colleague or classmate or something like that. If you read the actual conversation you will see that she asked him to tell his name before continuing further.

If someone called me asking that first question I would have given a completely different response, it has always been my point of view that no stranger has the right to expect an honest answer when asking me personal and stupid questions.

Uhhh no @Daljinder I like to have fun at the callers expense. I would have told him I was a martian and believed in the core gods, I wonder what his comeback to that would have been.

@Daljinder Believe it or not….him saying “dear” annoyed me more lol No seriously this is just stupid. It’s not even related to consuming meat. Either way he just needs to back off. I’m so sick of people thinking their way is the right way. Just…….just shut up!

@VivaLaDani13 When it comes to religion, people make it their business no matter what you or I say or even what the law says.
