Medically it has been informed to us that we need atleast 8 hours of sleep to be healthy and active in our everyday life.
However in today's time of fast internet the same has been reduced to just 6 hours .
So is 6 hours of sleep enough to maintain an active lifestyle ?

6 hours is not quite enough for me in regards to sleep. I prefer 7 or 8 hours.

It depends on the individual but most people can function off of 6 hours of sleep.

my hubby sleeps only 5 hours and he does fine. i mean, even if he try to stay in bed longer, he automatically wakes up upon reaching 5 hours. asked the doctor about it, he said it comes with the biological clock that our body gets used to. But it was suggested that my hubby gets more sleep. maybe take a power nap that may last only for 15-20 minutes.

not really. we may feel fresh for the time being but we add up the remaining two hour sleep somewhere else,,,may be on weekends. we feel to take a more rest and do nothing but rest our back. but that just brings laziness, its like you can take your medicines regularly then only they will prove their effect, if you consume more pills in one day hoping it might cope the rest:you will only get side effects

Right now I have been getting around 3-4 hours of sleep per night since my newborn keeps me up all night. I still keep going because I am a mom and I am plenty active still! Lol

If you rest during the day, of course it is. For most of my life I lived off on 4hours but my brain just works like that, I didn't get sick from lack of sleep because I rested and such.
