Life After Death

We lost four dogs this month. They were big and healthy dogs but suddenly, one by one, they died. We are left with five dogs that are also struggling to survive.
Yesterday, one of our dogs gave birth. I still don't know how many puppies are alive, but I think there are six. I hope the mother dog is okay now and I hope the puppies are not affected. The mother dog was not feeling well the past days just like the other dogs but hopefully, there will be no more deaths.
And we also have two new kittens in the family. Our mother cat gave birth last Sunday. Two out of three survived.
*in memory of my dog "Happy" who is in the picture when he was still young in 2014.

No... We have no vets in our hometown...
I don't know if they got sick but we think they didn't. I think they had eaten something bad for them.

i knew your picture is in 2014 yet because of the RB2K. i am sorry your dogs die prematurely. i mean, they die as least expected. maybe your neighbors were envious because you have many guards at home, many barks and meows.

@brokenbee so, that is also one reason why you are funding the construction of your concrete fence. like us here, we have the hollow-blocked fence all around and circling our lots.

Hmmm It is really hard to blame someone especially if we don't have an evidence.
But there's only one person who might have a motive in doing that. Maybe we are also at fault because we were not able to stop our dogs from hunting some of their chickens and chicks. But we have tried, that's why I was trying to complete my concrete post project.

@brokenbee that is awful. I am so sorry to hear there is no vet you can go to. Have they never been to the vet to get shots against diseases? If it is parvo they will all die and any dog you get after if you use the same bowls or toys etc they will get it to.

No... we don't have a vet in my hometown. Yup, it is really heartbreaking. The dogs were too close to us. I am afraid we will lose them all.

@shaggin Yes, they haven't seen a vet. But we don't think it's a virus that hit them.

@allen0187 That was what my parents were doing before. They were giving away some of the puppies and we had already given a lot that we already find it hard to find people who want to adopt.
My mother said, if they will die, we just have to bury them. Well, what else can we do? Hmmm

Yup, especially my parents who took good care of these dogs. It's really sad.
I hope the little puppies will grow well...

Maybe there's a virus killing them? Hope the rest of the puppies will survive.

I am not sure if it's a virus. I don't think it is but it's hard to blame others especially if you don't have an evidence.

Actually, they are running free inside our backyard. And sometimes, they were able to go out because some of the posts of our fences fell down. That's why I was trying to complete my project.

@brokenbee Are you sure that your dog did not eat: chocolate, garlic, peanut butter, coconut, cheese, milk, avocado or nuts? All those food are poison for dogs.

@LadyDuck Yup, we don't give them those foods. But it is possible that they were poisoned. =(
