Yesterday, I told myself that I would start walking EVERYDAY!

I'm used to walking longer distances about 3 to 4 miles a day but I don't do it that often which makes it kind of useless. So yesterday I went for about a six mile walk and told myself that I would start doing this every day. I use an app called Map My Run but use the "walk" mode to keep track my stats. Yesterday I was doing fairly good on the stats but came to a hill in a park nearby. So I sacrificed my stats a little bit to climb up and down the hill repeatedly to work my heart and lower legs out a little bit harder. Today I did a walk that was basically level so I'll only do the hills like 3 times a week. All the other days I'll do a level level walk. Today I did 5.3 two miles and averaged about 18 minutes a mile. I'm hoping to get my ankles stronger because this spring I want to learn how to rollerblade. Does anyone else like to walk for exercise?

Within the lasy year and a half, I walked everyway and lost about 50 pounds. I even used a medium size backback for carrying groceries back home.

me and my hubby used to do walking at 4 am to 6 am before but now he's working far from us and I'm too busy parenting and can't do the morning walk anymore, it feels lonely to walk alone so I promised myself to just do the zumba excercise at home where no one can see me

I don't know how old you children are, but if they are smaller, you could walk right before naptime. I use to have my grandkids over for the weekends when they were young. I would get some of them to race each while I was walking. Sometimes, I joined the races.

If your dogs are big, hopefully they'll run or walk fast with you and provide good cardio. My dog is a small toy poodle and doesn't like to walk much. Most dogs are good for cardio walking because they want to stop and smell everything.

@flpoolbum Yes 4 BIG dogs.. I Try to walk them 2 at a time.. which means I have to go around the blocks twice. so i will go in different directions from my house to mix it up.. but I got lazy and now I just let them run around the back yard.. but I might take a couple and go walk in a park or something. So we all get some excitement.

Map My Run tells time, distance, pace, average pace and elevation. You might want to get a perimeter if you'll be walking all day. One time, I accidently shut it off and lost my stats when I was using and armband to hold my phone. Now I hold the phone in my left hand. That works out well, because then I can get moving if I find myself falling behind.

The day after I graduated from high school back in 1971, I started walking every day. I lost quite a bit of weight that way. So now, 46 years later, I need to start walking again. When I do, I think I will try the Map My Run and see how I do. I would do the mall walking, though, because I do not like to walk anywhere in this town. It's nearly all one big "hood". Ugh.

In fact many times revision of studies also, I walk and do it . And yes walking has many advantages also so it will give benefits only :)

Hey first of all the image that you have displayed looks like a thumbs up for me and guess what that is what you deserve thumbs up for that decision.
About myself I used to walk a few years back but now I have just become lazy.
I hope someday I will also start my morning walks again.
