Philippines, now known as home of beautiful women, frequently winning Beauty Pageants international that include Miss Universe, Miss World Miss International, Miss Earth among others.
These confident ladies with a heart came from and started as a small contestant. They came from small beauty pageants in the city and provinces and started to won there. That's what develop them and nurture them to become the beauty queen of their city or province.
But comes also the alleged expose of the women, sometimes lewd and daring. They wear skimpy and attractive bikinis and sometimes the attention of desire of the men.
So, to give protection to the early dreamers our city passed an ordinance protection them. The law is regulating the use of lewd and daring wear. The ordinance said allowed only the one piece swimsuit and not the two piece skimpy bikini. The law also applies to men and LGBT community.
So, when Miss Universe will be held in our city, please follow accordingly to our law.

This is the biggest reason why they passed the law. They can hold the beauty pageant as long as its wholesome and not the subject of desire.

Hi:Fro
Very unusual law there, I could not help but wonder if the city law is constitutional? From what national law was it based? If it is based on biblical verses, then it may be questionable from the separation of church and state clause of the Philippine Constitution. Or maybe I may be missing something here?

Well, this is just a regulatory ordinance and not a preventive ordinance, which means they can still hold the beauty pageant but they just need to follow the law provided in this.

@rog0322 as per observation of the lawmakers there are pageant like Bikini Open that's lewd and too revealing Lily wearing t-back and skimpy, so they want to regulate.

That's a good law. Women should be protected and respected no lewdness

@ilocosboy But it's only in your place. Here in Manila it's not a law

@averygirl72 yeah, only in my city, the ordinances is limited to our area of responsibility and will not cover the neighboring town, and Manila.

That is good to know that beauty pageants in your nation will require the contestants to wear one piece bathing suits instead of bikinis.
