I cannot complain : I changed my ISP last year when I moved, and my mobile phone provider offered me a really good deal : 100 mbps unlimited internet+TV+fixed phone+free wifi access on other customers routers for $10/month during a year and $20/month the second year with an obligation to stay 2 years. I would rate my actual ISP good. The previous one was better for wifi access when I was not at home as it had more customers, but it was costing me $35 for the same internet/tv/phone services.

@Eyesclosed Are you living in the countryside ? I have some HD tv channels needing more than 5 mbps to work, but sometimes in the countryside they cannot get more than 2 mbps. What happens when the data envelope is reached ? Is it limited and slow as hell like it is on my smartphone, or do you have to pay ?

Here in India, it is quite reasonable. They charge a reasonable amount and the service is also good. I use unlimited browsing.

Compared to other countries, the Philippines is still on the stone age in terms of internet technology, too many users with limited bandwidth makes for a very slow internet download-upload speed. The service providers are making lots of money on this while leaving the costumers welfare to the mercy of crocodiles and sharks. The regulatory government is too slow to respond, the politicians paying lip service to address the issue.
I personally has a basic internet connection that promises "up to 3MBpS" of bandwidth with a monthly payment of 1000 pesos (20 USD) with a 1G daily data allocation. Where's the justice in that?

Ours is not the cheapest but it is the cheapest for what is in my area. It isn't the greatest service due to where we live but there isn't much anyone can do about that otherwise it isn't bad but we miss the old provider who was cheaper and the service was much better.
