What do you think, What is the best way to choose your life partner, Love or a Proposal? There are advantages and disadvantages in both sides. Because people are different and marriage is a congregate of two different persons. If we learn to respect each others ideas, love or arrange will not be a problem. Mine is a Love marriage, What's yours?

MyLot is a global site. I'm afraid that many members don't have an opinion on the topic. I don't know of any European country where marriages are arranged. It's also not a custom in the USA, at least not among people whose ancestors have come from Europe.

@amandajay You could explain it here. Someone said the difference between love marriage and arranged marriage is - In love marriage you marry a known devil. In an arranged marriage you marry an unknown devil.

Love marriage for me. I haven't come across arranged marriage for a long time here. Parents no longer find partner for their kids. Back then that was how it used to be. In fact my parents were married based on arrangement made by their parents.

Arrange marriage are best.If our parents choose our life partner they will choosr best for us.If we go against them and marry a person whom our parents don't like. How can our parents live happy. And how can we live happy.

Yes in that case you are right.. If something went wrong parents will involve and solve the problem. But in love marriages we have to face things alone, right?

Love marriage most definitely.. there is no way I could marry a stranger.. I love my husband and we got to know one another before we got married.. I think that is the way it should be.. but that is just me.

Mine is arranged. But we love since then!!! i think not the both, actually arranged love or love with a practical sense is the solution.

Being single is the best. It is said that arrange marriage is something like you are going on road and a snake bites you and love marriage is like you are dancing in front of the snake and it bites you...
