Mad House

It is a mad house here in my home. So much going on and I am going nuts. My wife just came down with whatever we all got over. She didn't seem like she was going to get it and she was out of allergy meds. She was miserable well not having allergy meds seemed to leave her open and susceptible for other stuff. Cause she has been severely since yesterday. She had extremely high fever 103. Which stayed consistent. She took meds and laid there looking like death warmed over. She is moving around but barely. She got in the shower and I went to change out everything. The comforters and everything where she was sleeping was soaked in sweat. I have been taking care of everything that she normally does. Did I mention its harder than it looks she makes this look so easy like she does nothing. I have done laundry cooked done dishes swept deal with kids homework baths Ugh I am tired. I did the best I could and I know she appreciates my efforts but its not anywhere near how she does things. I told her you can't get sick lol you can't take a day off everything is falling apart. She laughed first time since yesterday morning. So I am sorry I am going to be away from here for a few days. I will check in periodically. When I get back I promise to catch up with anyone I might have over looked. Have a great day and weekend. I am going to spend mines being Mr.Mom until my wife gets better.

Don't worry about it. Take care of your wife. She needs your help now. And besides, I have been where you are now many times in my life. It is all part of being a family. A madhouse, so what. The day it's not a madhouse is the day you are going to feel it hurting.

@lokisdad They do a lot for sure. We take a lot for granted. But who would ever want to come home from work and not hear something going on. I wouldn't. And I didn't. I have been there myself.

@inertia4 oddly she doesn't get sick much but when she does it's bad. You're right we often take people and things for granted.

I said madhouse just because it seems crazy for me I help around the house but usually by the time I am home there really isn't anything to do my wife has it all done. When she gets sick is when I truly realize how much she really does in the course of any given day.

Moms dint have the luxury of getting sick. I remember stumbling through the day when my kids were small and I had the misfortune to get sick.

Moms really don't have the luxury. My mother was a single parent to 6 of us I only have 2 and it feels like I am going to lose my mind trying to do it all.

@lokisdad I think my worst time was when I had a three year old, an almost two year old and a two month old and I had the nerve to get sick about two weeks after we moved...my husband was at work all day...I brought the baby into bed with me....put some toys in the floor beside my bed and locked all of us in the bedroom so I could try to get some rest. Thankfully hubby came home...made supper and watched the toddlers for a couple of hours before they went to bed.

@Morleyhunt Being sick is always brutal but its not until the kids come along that you realize how bad it can be. I thought it was funny when you said you had the nerve to get sick because yesterday our tot told her mom get up you can't be sick who is going to take care of me? Her mom replied your dad will don't worry. She said if you get up you will feel better come on. Stop faking mommies don't get sick.

Thanks she is doing well and life is starting to go back to normal for all of us. Which we are happy and can't wait for summer to come so we can be done with all of the cold and flu and other germs going around.

That is what we had hoped but it seems that our youngest is getting sick again and since she spends her days hanging on her brother he is getting sick again and through the cycle we go again.

I feel so sorry for your wife. So you are now experiencing how difficult it is to be a wife, a mother. Just kidding. Take great care of your wife and your family
