"Logan" (2017): Movie Review (Grade: -A)

I confess that the approach of this mutant made me very upset over the years (I hated to see how much the other mutants - as or more important to me than he - were neglected by the writers, producers and directors), but with this film it's impossible to deny the fact than Hugh jackman finally achieved his redemption in the role of the mutant Logan/Wolverine. Congrats, Marvel!
The script written with 6 hands (Scott Frank, James Mangold and Michael Green) was quite clever avoiding getting away from the obvious, which would focus entirely on the central character: Logan. The story of the film is ramified and gives space for other characters besides him to receive adequate highlights. To the standards that the mutant's solo films have been presenting this is an excellent achievement. Despite having a few cliches here and there that bothered me a lot , the script is very good.
The cast was well matched, and in general they played well their respective roles (with an obvious highlight for Hugh Jackman and newcomer Dafne Keen). The direction of James Mangold (Wolverine: Immortal) is totally different from the previous sequence (which was laughable and unsafe)... in this sequence he shows much more maturity and steady hand on his work).
The technical aspects of the movie also matches very well: the special/visual effects are much better (although the action scenes are not so creative), the soundtrack is helps to move the scenes and editing is competent.
This movie is bound to end the franchise of this mutant in theaters because there are no more stories for him. It all ended - very well - with this movie.
