Is a College Education Worth It?

People who argue that college is worth it contend that college graduates have higher employment rates, bigger salaries, and more work benefits than high school graduates. They say college graduates also have better interpersonal skills, live longer, have healthier children, and have proven their ability to achieve a major milestone.
That's why I also believe that college education is important....

college education is important from my point of view, you get to learn so many new things apart from studies. You meet new people, engage in a lot of different activities and discover your true interests.

What's with the question mark if you believe it? Of course college education is important specially if a person is not that smart enough. Even though you can't get a job after 10 years your diploma will help you to find a job, or your skills will lead you to businesses that you can open. Your diploma will not let you a bummer for the rest of your life. If you have the power and courage to face every challenge.

It depends what you want to do. Some of the things mentioned don't make sense to me. I mean, why would your children be healthier just because you went to college? I suppose the logic in that could be that a better job equals a better way of life equals better healthcare and nutrition.
For me, I sometimes feel I would have been better off just going straight into work after school as my education doesn't seem to have got me very far. I do, however, have healthy children, my interpersonal skills are OK. Even though I have been shy, I have no issue with interpersonal skills when necessary. College does, I suppose, prove ability to reach milestones and goals but so can attaining work targets or losing weight or running marathons.
I won't say that college isn't important. I do believe that education is important. I also believe, though, that it is more important for some people than for others. My eldest son wants to be a teacher so his education is extremely important for him to reach that goal. My youngest, on the other hand, wants to be an actor so if it's a choice of attending college or going to auditions, then auditions get priority.

Nowadays it is very important to do masters to land in a job. But if you want to land in a proper job one should be good as social, interpersonal skill, communication through different media and online platforms. They should also be a cut above the whole lot and should score more than 97 percent in academics and have practical knowledge too. Must be a multitasker and a gogetter. Must be willing to work and slog more and deliver results on time and without grudging must be willing to enjoy and take up more work. The sooner one starts working the better it is as one will be having good health and can take risks and also will get experience which will help. One must be an all rounder to land in a good job. Hope this answers you question.

I went to college, and I thought it was worth it. I got to learn a lot, and I met a lot of awesome people. I'm still very close friends with a girl I met in college. When it comes to college education, it depends on what type of job you want in the future. Some people go to trade schools, beauty schools, or don't go at all. I work in retail, even though I have a college degree. I'm working to move up. I think people consider it a waste of time if they don't like the major they chose. If its hard to get a job with what you got your degree in, it would be tempting to think that college was not worth it.
