My Mom had one of those that she used regularly when I was a kid. I remember trying to use it but like you said, it pinched me.

I used to use them all the time for years and years, only because the department store ladies suggested I do. A good one should not pinch, but one has to be careful. Anywho....I stopped using them, because they make so many great mascaras now that curl your lashes.

I used to use an eyelash curler ages ago. I am glad I don't put on any more makeup now.

I have one that I use whenever I put on mascara but that isn't very often. You have to be careful not to pinch yourself. I remember as a teenager my sister had one and when she squeezed it it twisted and ripped out have of her eyelashes.
