Rain - New day. Time for my usual exploration run on the little mobility scooter - so off I went down the pathway toward the recreation center, I almost got that far. Came the rain. Not just any old rain it was. It was what we in Texas call a regular frog-strangler of a rainstorm. Lucky for me, the raindrops were big ones at first, but the real rain had yet to begin. So, I made it back home just a little bit damper than when I had started the morning's ride-around. When under the carport by our house, here it came. The sky opened up and the water poured out of the black clouds overhead. Thunder, lightning, water, cats. dogs, and a stray steamship or two - quite a rain it was. I was still almost dry as I got the tarpaulin cover atop the scooter. Then I ran as fast as my legs would allow up onto the front porch and underneath its tiny roof. Took the old Canon camera out of its carry case, turned around and shot a photograph of the pickup truck under its carport, hiding the scooter underneath its tarp right behind the truck. Time then to shake off the few raindrops I had collected, head inside for the kitchen and that nice hot second cup of coffee waiting for me. Image: Rain Always Falls When You Really Do Not Want Any

It is obvious that that is very heavy rain! It's lucky you didn't get caught in it. You would have been soaked.

@JudyEv - Ms Judy - For me to get soaked would not be the world's greatest problem, Wetting the electric scooter could have been a truly bad thing. -Gus-

@Ceerios Yes, of course. You need a oversize poncho type raincoat that would cover you both up.

Oh, rain! A hot choco kind of day! Love it sometimes when it rains hard and I'm in the house, comfy why a cup of hot choco in hand and a good book to read.
