It doesn't hurt to speak up & ask. Worse case you'll get is a 'no'.

After eating lunch at the mall - my fiancé & I decided to quickly browse the mall. We were on the kids section / floor, so I quickly browsed the racks and came across some cute jackets for my niece & nephew.
I bought two jackets for my niece and the jacket for my nephew was a 3 piece set, and the pants were missing. I kindly asked the cashier, if there was any further discount because the tag shows the set as a 3 piece, but theres only the vest & long sleeve. She kindly gave me an additional 50% off.
Moral of the story, it doesn't hurt to speak up and ask.

Very true.
I too had an experience one time of asking as I was paying my one dozen sachets of Hair reborn if there are no promos. And she said there is for this and she told the bagger to get the buy 6 take 1 of it . I told the bagger to get 3 dozens for me. So that means half a dozen free.

Yes!! It does not hurt to ask if there are any deals. Then ultimately you're getting a better deal! Worse they can say is no then that's fine too!

@LadyDuck Me too! I've done this a few times. I only started noticing the tags when I first bought baby clothes for my nephew.

@infatuatedbby That is so true. When I was a manager I remember one day I was working and the place was packed and I saw something that I wanted to mark down but never had the chance to do it. Someone bought it and I saw them with it but I was so busy I never got to talk to them.
To this day I remember that customer and regret not making the time to give them a markdown. If they had asked me I would have made time.

@infatuatedbby You are right and not everyone has the time to look for all things that are marked down or has a flaw in it.

Hehe. That's me! I just try to get some sort of deal if I can but usually the coupons of the brands I select at Macy's doesn't apply. My fiancé is opposite he doesn't bother with trying to look for a deal or anything so that's where I come into play.

Yes, it sure doesn't. But also one has to be alert of the tag because it says 3 piece , and not everyone looks

@infatuatedbby That is true as so many people just take what is on the hanger and don't check for the amount of pieces it is suppose to have.

@infatuatedbby People often say that it is easier to earn money from women. Wrong! You can see that men don't care about the price and they seldom will bargain. I think it is easier to get money from them

Yes! But usually they don't pay attention or verify if it's a 1 piece, 2 piece or 3 piece etc. I started noticing a few years ago when I started buying baby / kid clothes for my nephew

@Infatuatedbby ~It's definately good to speak out, especially in your own best interests. My wife and I were at a fast food restaurant. The cashiers were also filling the orders. Our cashier coughed into her hand and didn't stop to wash them. (When I worked in fast food, we were told that when you had to cough, cough into your sleeve.) I told the other worker behind the counter that I didn't want my cashier handling my order. My wife was embarrassed, but I felt it was the right thing to do.

I don't like to speak up in situations that involve my food because I always think 'what if' they do something bad to my food. :( But I sometimes do speak up in those incidents.
