Ragging is bad in every school and college. This can be very painful for new comer students. First new comer student are innocent and does not know complete rules of the college or institute. Then ragging works as a harassment to them.
Management of schools or colleges should take strict action against ragging. Generally these days most of the universities made a law and treat ragging as a offence in the institutions.
PLZZ guys give your feedback on this as more as you can

First let me rag you first. Please do not use sms shortcuts like "PLZZ".
I was a student of Engineering college which was famous for ragging. I undergone ragging phases, both mentally (asking questions and stuff) and physically like slapping. Now, the physical part is not good. But I feel the mental part is good for people. At least for me I can say, I was from a rural back ground, shy guy. I became smarter, going through the ragging phase I became bold, tough and all. Also, it helped me to mix with my friends who were going through the same pain quite easily. Also, had few good relations with seniors who usually ragged more.
When I was senior I did not do any physical torture or mental harassment. But I used to ask funny and complicated questions.

yes,Ragging is always anytime Bad if its taken in the way to harass some one.as it makes some one low confident for lifetime and pulls out every happiness, their soul, their creativity out of them.here comes fear about society to stand in between.
but hopefully colleges are making certain strict rules for not to conduct ragging and which is working positively..!!

Ragging in the sense playing harmless pranks or dares that are not humiliating is fine. But it shouldn't escalate onto harassment which it usually does.
