Where is the snow?

I woke up this morning to find nothing.... We are supposed to get snow today - not a lot, 1 to 3 inches, but it was supposed to start before sunrise. Some schools in the Tri-State Area announced late yesterday afternoon that they would be closed today due to the weather. There is no snow!
Now, yesterday we got into the mid-60's and the ground/roads are still rather warm. The snow was not supposed to stick to the roads much but they were advising caution. Why did schools have to close? I seem to remember "back in the day" we had to have quite a storm in order for the school to close and you didn't know until you woke up in the morning.
I don't understand it....

The weatherman lies. He's wrong more often than he's right. I no longer believe the forecast. I've been thinking about buying a weather rock.

@Morleyhunt , I had to go on Wikipedia and check what was a "weather rock". Never heard of this before.

It started about 30 minutes after I wrote this - it is sticking to the ground but not the street.

Being a weather man is the only job in the country where you can be wrong on a daily basis and still get paid. I should have been a weather man lol.

Life is a mystery. Anyway, we are supposed to get snow this Sunday. Let's see what happens in Virginia.

It started snowing about 30 minutes after I wrote this - sticking to the ground, not the streets. I think there is a possibility of some snow on Sunday and then again next week.
