Parents should be more friendly and open to their child or they should be strict and disciplined?. I believe when parents are friendly and interact in every aspects that are concerning their child, then the child will have good personal development and will have better progress in every field. What do you think?

I think parenlts need a good balance. Being too lenient is just as bad as being too strict.

It should be that the parents should be in the middle of being friendly and strict with the child. Friendly in a way, that the child will be open to their parents of what she would like and what she thinks , same as the parents. But strict in a way, that they should really impose some restrictions to the child as to what is not good for her.

I think parents should be friendly, but sometimes with kids being the kids friend isn't enough. Kids also need discipline, not so much discipline they become scared of the person instructing the discipline but they also do need to know right from wrong. There should be a enforced line between being their friend and being their parent. Good development comes from you being interactive with your child although too much discipline could cause bad development to enhance which is why i believe there is a such thing as too much. just my opinion though.

Yes exactly little discipline but with understanding so to see right path. Yes there will always be a difference between a friend and a parent . I believe that between a child and parents there should be lots of interaction so as to have positive environment

Parents should be friendly, but strict. They must make rules and children must obey.

@optimisticbeauty Yes, of course they must try to understand, but they should also keep in mind that their rule is to educate children, not to spoil them.

@LadyDuck yeah and should also give some freedom. I have seen few parents who don't give freedom at all

I think its nice when parents are friendly with their kids. But they also need to be firm and establish limitations as not to make children spoiled.
