Me and my friend went to watch a movie and I don't know what happened in between I slept. It was not that the movie was boring it was one of the hit movie. It may be that I was tired that day. Whatever it might be but I laugh at myself when think of that moment. Has it happened with you that you slept when you went to enjoy somewhere?

I am fine . How are you? Do you know me?. That means you switch on t.v. only when you want to sleep.

I do not switch on the tv often, but it also often acts as a good sleeping pill.

@topffer it acts when you are tired. Try it in the morning after you have had full sleep. May be then it won't act like sleeping pill.

My son and I went to see a movie last year and he fell asleep near the end of it. It was a good movie, he was tired.

Childhood time is different as I think every kid gets asleep in theaters. My kids too recently slept whole watching a movie.

I know Indian movies are very long and perhaps this is why you fell asleep. And it is worthy since you could have enough sleeping time in the cinema. Try to imagine here the movies will not last for so long time, namely you can't sleep in the cinema longer. You are lucky

it may be one of the reason as I may be feeling tired and environment there was so good that I felt sleepy after an hour so. Yes indian movies are of approximately of 2.5 hours and people may feel asleep once the movie gets boring.

Next time ...select movie based on a) Murder mystery...homicide always gets people sitting on the edges of their seat...and that is no position anybody can sleep in. b) War movies....they have sudden sounds...so even if you are dozing, they will pull you out of your reverie.. c) Comedy... even if you fall asleep people around you would be laughing and shaking the seats which would make it impossible to continue with that dream you were having. Strictly avoid Romance...trust me that can be a real GROAN.

Oh that was actually a romantic movie. Perhaps I should avoid watching such movies. Had it been a comedy movie I would not have needed people to keep me awake.

@vandana7 You are too funny, vanny! If we ever go to the movies, you better let me sleep through it! I will stay awake just fine if I am enjoying the company and the movie! LMAO! (You better not tell Pretty I said that, either! She might think I didn't enjoy her company enough to stay awake through the movie!)

@sjvg1976 Uhhh... I am afraid you still might sleep through some "comedy" movies, especially when nothing said it ever really funny! (There are many so-called "comedians" who can't generate enough laughter to disturb a good nap, if they tried!) I'm just sayin'! SMH!

That means that you don't know how to enjoy a good movie. Didn't you sleep well when you're in bed?

@sjvg1976 Is there a reason why you didn't sleep well in bed? Or is it censored?

LOL! I see my friends all know you! But I don't recognize you. Raja called me here. It is my pleasure making your acquaintance here on myLot! I do hope you are enjoying yourself here? Now, to address your discussion: The last half dozen times I took my daughter to the theater for a movie, I slept after about half an hour, until she woke me as the closing credits played out. (We haven't gone to a theater since she graduated from college about six years ago. We watch the movies for free online almost as soon as the movies are shown the first time in the theater.) We also don't watch television. There are so many more interesting things to do than waste our time watching what other people want us to watch. Like, I can play on myLot and visit with my friends here. I can also say outrageous things to my friends to get them to laugh! (Sometimes, I will go to one of my friend's old discussions and make a zombie walk. Several times, when I wake a zombie, it quickly hits Top Rated Discussions (usually THE Top Rated Discussion) and Hot Discussions! LOL! That's a lot of fun to do, plus it earns me a few pennies, too!) I hope you have a great day!

Yes most of your friends are my friends too. May be we were not friends here. I was not active in the site for a long. That's right I also usually don't go to theaters as I feel it's a waste of time as well as money.

I have fallen asleep in a live show on a cruise ship once. It was a circus type show and the ladies were climbing up ropes right in front of us as we were in the front row of the balcony. I opened my eyes and there were a few ladies on ropes in front of me. That was embarrassing.

It's been years since I was inside a movie house. I still remember a time how irritated I was when a movie goer was snoring loudly. The usher finally had to wake him up.

Oh yes, movie theater is a good place to catch up a nap. But i do try and stay awake, I have tobe really really tired though. Perhaps its just the stillness in sitting comfortably.

If the movie was boring, I don't have the patience to just suffer through it until it ends. I prefer walking out and finding something else to occupy myself.

Yes it happened especially when you're so tired. But where you able to know the complete story of the movie that you're watching then?
