Hooking up a second cable box.

I've got digital cable through US Cable, we have the main box hooked up in the living, but there is also a coaxial hookup in the master bedroom. I know that if I hook up the cable to a cable ready TV, I'll get the basic cable channels, or the analog ones (same thing out in the sticks), but I won't get the digital like Encore. My question: If I went out and picked up a digital cable box and hooked it up in the master bedroom, would I be able to pull the rest of the channels in as well, without having to pay for the additional hook up? Just curious, because it would save me some cash in the long run if I could.
