A Horrible Story

I read a most horrible story in the news this morning. A man named Ron Gorman was arrested in Cobb County who had sexually assaulted children for years. Most of his crimes were committed in Pennsylvania where he worked as a youth wrestling coach. Since 2012 he worked as a youth wrestling coach at Pope high school until recently going to work at Life University. The university said they had received no complaints about Gorman. A few people in Cobb had complained to officials about inappropriate online messages being sent to their children and nothing was done at that time. Gorman faces 261 child sex charges. He has assaulted children as young as ten years old. Can you imagine this man assaulting so many innocent children and nobody noticed. It makes you wonder about children being mistreated and never telling their parents, or if they do parents don't press charges. Parents should be very careful to know what is going on with their children.

I I'm of the same opinion. I would gladly take care of him. I hope they put him under the jail.

I think that fear is the main culprit for both the kids and parents. If he was well-thought of, the kids wouldn't know of other complaints if there ever were any and they'd think no one would believed them. Also, this pervert may have told them not to say anything or...

These horrible men are often not reported until the kids grow up and tell on them. Little kids are innocent and can be scared.

That is horrible. He is a sick predator that finally got caught, but more kids could have been saved had the officials listened and took action on the complaints about him much earlier. I feel sad and bad for all his victims.

It is amazing how many people are guilty of such behavior and not charged until so many years later. Was no one listening to the children?

These 'people' are the embodiment of evil. In this world I don't know what motivates then. Because of them we have to believe that 'Evil' is a tangible reality. If we hurt them, can we really make up for the harm done? That's why my only consolation is 'Karma'...the inexorable Law that balances things. later, some where you'll hear of a child born with a hole in the heart...or the genitals missing. Again, unfortunate.

it is unfortunate that we have such horrible people. But parents should be aware of what is going on with their children. Although some children will hide the truth because of shame or they are afraid they wont be believed.

yes but often the kid is scared by the pervert into thinking some one they love will be harmed. thats why it is important to let your kids know also that you can and will protect them and the people they love from any harm from anyone. to bad we don't have worse laws for this type of pervert that harms children

I agree, we should teach our children to always tell us their problems no matter how bad they think it is. Crazy people are always on the loose.

That is awful. What is wrong with some men? I agree, parents need to be fully aware of what is going on with their children.

I heard about this a while back. it is a horrible story and I agree, parents should be aware of who their children are with. I didn't know it was so many charges against him. He should go to prison for life without parole.

I think he should be sentenced to life. We will most likely never hear what judgement he actually got.

I think many children are intimidated to not tell their parents. I'm sure as time goes on more details will come out.

There is a Royal Commission going on in Australia re abuse in charitable children's homes. Some of the stories are horrendous.

An investigation went on here about children held in juvenile homes.some years ago. It was terrible how they were abused and had no one to complain to. They finally closed that facility down. but there are hundreds of other such places.

I wonder why at least some kids didn't tell their parents. One of the basic kid safety rules is that anything you do can/should be shared with parents.
