What do you all think of online education verses traditional brick and mortar. It is becoming a more common route to an education, but still some look down on it. Thoughts? How about with employers?

I've never heard that an online education is looked down on. Where does this happen? If you added your country on your account page, your post would be more understandable. As the member @Gina145 has said, you need a lot of self-discipline for it.

I think it can be a good thing for people who have the self discipline to get the work done. I'm not sure I'd be able to study that way though.

Good question welcome to mylot. I think it is a decent alternative but I prefer classroom learning if possible.

I see your point. However, there are so many online options especially in the work place as a way you can advance.

What works for some won't work for others. Some we know love doing everything online.

Welcome . i prefer the old fashion way but if it's online i still think guidance is needed. There are a lot of distracting things online.

@noruby The path matters, but the final destination is what counts.

most places require computer smarts these days to put in your application so that works out too

I think it is good for people who are determined and have self discipline to keep with it. Someone who doesn't like school or isn't good at it probably shouldn't do online school. I am looking into and online grad school so I can do it freely while still working during the day and having my clinics close to home. It would be more affordable for me that way and I have the determination and self discipline to be able to do it.

i personally feel there are so many advantages in online education.....but one disadvantage is you can't make friends .now there is a difference between online friends and real life friends.....going out with friends is so nice than chatting with them online

online education is good and its different from classroom education but in the end education matter not the ways how you learn.

Online education is the modern trend. As to whether this is inferior to the traditional mode of education remains to be seen.
