Have you ever been inspired by a song so much that you make it a theme in your life?

I try to use Bon Jovi's philosophy , in their song, "Have a Nice Day". Basically, when you disagree with someone, agree to disagree and move on. When I was initially diagnoised with Early Onset Alzheimers, I found myself dwelling on it, letting it consume my life. That New Year's Eve, I was working and I dreaded it. I finally decided, "hell with this" and choose to use Rob Thomas' song "Someday" as my personal anthem. Some of the chorus reads, "maybe someday we'll live our lives outloud". I decided to live my life outloud and enjoy the time that I had left. Fortunately, my diagnosis was downgraded to "Cerebral Athrophy", a generic label acknowledging that my brain was shrinking but they didn't know why. Luckily, the athrophy has slowed down. I still suffer from excruciating headaches, but am working with my neurologist to try to reduce the frequency and intensity of them.

When I didn't get the best result during university, I tend to listen to 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams' by Green Day Then after awhile, I change to Frank Sinatra's My Way. Been the same song to this day.

@flpoolbum , I love music, so it would be tough to choose one song, but, "I Am What I Am" comes to mind. I hope your neurologist can help you find a solution.

I have many favorite songs, but none at that level.

I also found that many songs bring back memories of specific times of my life. It's almost like my soundtrack.
