What Is Your Favorite Wild Animal?

If you had to choose just ONE animal as your favorite, could you do it and what would it be? In my case, I have no problem choosing a favorite. My favorite animal has always been the TIGER.
What do you know about tigers?
Tigers walk on their toes! Did you know that?
Tigers love the water and are excellent swimmers.
Each tiger is striped differently. No two are the same.
Tigers eat about 12 pounds of meat every day on the average, but have been known to eat more than 50 pounds of meat in one night.
Wild tigers are found only in Asia.
Scientists estimate that more than 90% of all the wild tigers in the world have been killed in the last 200 years.
Tigers that live in warmer climates are usually smaller than those that live in colder climates. Tigers live in rain forests, mangrove swamps and cold northern forests.
About 40 people each year are killed by tigers.
The average male tiger weighs about 415 pounds and measures about 9 feet from its head to the tip of its tail.
Female tigers are smaller than males.
Tigers hunt mostly at night and spend most of their day resting in a shady spot.

I would concur. I love the big cats that all basically move and behave the same way but tigers are beautiful with the striping.

Tigers are endangered and its so sad. They along with many other animals in the wild cope with decreasing habitat and human killers.

I like tigers too but my all time favorite is the wolf. I have a cute photo of a tiger that is very happy.

My husband likes wolves. In fact, he at one time had a white wolf, but the neighbors complained and he had to give it to someone who lived out in the country.

I know that tigers are killed because stupid Asian men use parts of the animal as aphrodisiacs.
The biggest tigers live in Siberia. Their problem is that Siberia borders China. Too many Chinese there wanting aphrodisiacs.
The German-born magicians Siegfried and Roy had a show in Las Vegas with white tigers until a tiger attacked one of the men. I think it was Roy. My husband and I saw the show. I don't think shows with wild animals are a good thing. Wild animals belong into the wilderness.

Humans are stupid when it comes to aphrodisiacs.
I saw the Siegfried and Roy show in Las Vegas several years before the attack. Now, I follow a site on Instagram called BlackJaguarWhiteTiger. They rescue big cats in particular and other animals and post many photos and videos on Instagram. I love to see all the cats, especially the babies and watch them grow up, which they do very quickly.

I don't know a lot about tigers. My favorite wild animal is otters.
There are 13 species of otter and their populations are decreasing.
They have the thickest fur among mammals.
Antarctica and Australia are th e only places otters haven't been found.
Mother otters & their pups hold hands when they sleep so they don't drift away. They also use kelp to keep them anchored in place while sleeping.
Otters eat 15-25% of their body weight each day in fish.
