Original song vs remixes

In a discussion, somebody told me they refuse to listen to remixes of songs because "they ruin the song".
I was thinking about this and I usually prefer the original song as well. However, I don't have a problem with remixes. If the remix is good I will listen to it...if it's bad I ignore it and stop listening to it. One thing I can say is that there are many bad remixes out there but ... I can't say all of them "ruin the original".
Do remixes bother anybody here?

They were songs that I have encountered first were remixes, then got to listen to the original later. There are remixes that I appreciate but if the remixes were made at my age these days, I may not appreciate it. because I would prefer the one i got used to listening to.

Cover versions don't bother me - though I do prefer that the cover artist change it up -- make it different than the original in some way , to me that is more respectful to the original artist.

I donĀ“t bother listening to remixes. Sometimes they may sound better than the original songs.

Most remixes really do bother me. There are rare exceptions

I like original ones. Remix are just for making the most of it :D It requires less efforts and sold easily because of the fame of original version. Sometimes remixes also become popular if the singer is lucky.
