Just this morning, I made some fresh apple sauce. I had some apples that was going bad. Not everyone eat one apple a day, I guess. But it doesn't matter, I could make the apple sauce, anyway. Yes it taste better than the one in the store. I know that it won't last very long. pixabay photo

I haven't made apple sauce before. I prefer to eat the apples directly or make it as salad.

Apple sauce is not much different then the apples, it is just turned into puree. You add sugar, cinnamon, ginger, and shea seeds.

We love homemade applesauce! It does taste better than the ones on the shelves - even the kids tell me the store bought one tastes funny.

@beenice2 Yah, we do cinnamon and that's it . . . no sugar needed. Shea seeds - that's interesting! Is that different from Chia seeds?

I guess there is no age to start on those things. It is just recently that I decided to do it. I wanted to save the rest of my apples that were going bad.

Yes, I like them like that too, if our apples are hard to chew, the peel has often some problems with it.
