So now Microwaves spy on us?

United States

Was walking into the kitchen yesterday and there Kellyanne Conway was on the TV. It was a replay of an interview. I didn't watch but a minute of it. I think I caught about the point where she says "There's several ways to surveil." I missed the part where she started accusing inanimate objects. The bottom line is that Trump's Whitehouse is evasive and tries to distract from the blunders they make. Sometimes I wonder if they write their speeches etc in their sleep. They constantly attack the media without giving a real basis or back up. Nope, I'm not defending the media. Don't like the media much myself, but I also don't believe half the stuff Trump suggests about the "fake news." Especially if you look at his twitter and see how many "non complete thoughts" he's made. "Bad (sick) guy" being one.. oooh that Old Obama was SUCH a meanie!

As long as he kicks out all the Muslims and Mexicans and gets that wall built, we'll be Great Again. At least, it'll be Great for white male billionaires again. The rest of us are going to be on the streets, but it'll be Great Again!

If all the "illegals" are out of the country, and the rest of us are jobless and on the streets... Who is gonna clean the white billionaire's houses or chaffeur them around?

She is such a piece of work. She's the one that came up with the phrase "Alternative truths" which made me chuckle. The media has a purpose and right now with this person we have in office we really really need the media. He is so hateful about the media that it is making the media that much worse. THey are questioning what he is doing because he doesn't hold news conferences and keep the public apprised of what is going on and that is making the media kick in and be even more obtrusive than they usually are because of his secretiveness.

@ScribbledAdNauseum .....I have watched news segmented where psychiatrists have termed as having some mental issues. Narcissistic is what I think he is.

@celticeagle As I've said before, I hardly pay attention to the news with him in it. A lot of what i do see and hear are "grasps" of things. I have a family member who says people have reported him (trump) as having different personalities... Whether that's true or not...

I can't say as I blame them either. We have certain rights, and we have the right to know what he is doing with our country. He's so.. .what's the word I am looking for? Vague, that's it. He's vague with what he does say as is. On his twitter, half the time he's complaining about "fake news". I'm more and more convinced each day that we have a psychopath in office.

I knew my dastardly microwave was up to no good. I suspect it swaps stories quite often with my washing machine, which is also rather sneaky.

You know I never have trusted the washing machine. I've always felt it was in cohorts with the dryer, always stealing my socks.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I often blame the washing machine for lost socks, only to find that actually Stairs has claimed them whilst I was travelling from Bedroom to Kitchen.

@Poppylicious Ah yes, the hall between the kitchen (where our washer is) and the bedroom has often claimed a sock or two as well. Though, generally after it's been ran through the dryer but before it's been folded.

It is funny but not untrue in its entirety. Certain internet connected tv's can be used for surveillance. A microwave... the appliance...can not spy on you it just can't...unless someone puts a device in it and then it can but as a general rule they don't have that ability. So she was wrong there but not so wrong about various devices having the ability to spy on us...it's why I always tape up the camera on any device I have

I'm aware that anything with a wifi connection has the ability to become a monitor of our activity. It's just the way she said it that sounded so ridiculous. I choose to believe that institutions don't spy on us, but I'm not stupid either. I realize that we are becoming ever more vulnerable with each new internet capable thing we have installed in our homes.

@Mike197602 Okay I know what CCTV is but anpr? She's (KellyAnne) is just a "piece". She looks good on camera and that's all she's good for.

@ScribbledAdNauseum in my opinion she's an idiot. But so is trump so stands to reason idiots go together. I tape up my camera on my laptop but that's about it. I live in country with the most cctv per capita and I like it Lost track of how many crimes here are solved through cctv and anpr...at least one serial killer in the last few years was caught through anpr and cctv.

I think it's just a matter of time until someone realizes that there was a rule on page 3725 of the Obamacare bill that mandated all microwaves include a 4k webcam and long range dual band wifi antennae.

I've never really trusted my microwave, and my fridge acts very suspiciously at time. And boy, my dishwasher, the stories it could tell.

None of our devices have "wifi connectivity".. .Atleast as far as we are aware.

@ScribbledAdNauseum But that's part of the secret, don't you see? We aren't aware that our household appliances are tied into the Deep UltraModified People Surveillance Network. The government denies the existence of DUMPS Net. But everything from our blender to our food processor to our garbage disposals might just be reporting on us.

I do find it suspect. Everyone can tell that Trump prefers tall, thin, fashionable, blonde ladies. And so now, his counselor is ... tall, thin, fashionable, blonde.... I'm not accusing, I'm just saying it looks weird....
• United States
14 Mar 17
I wouldn't say it looks weird, it looks suspicious more like it. Do you remember that photo there was of her on the whitehouse couch in the oval office? The way she was sitting? People made their remarks about it. I just rolled my eyes but well... she is his type, and that was a rather suggestive position.

@FayeHazel That came to mind. I remember one statement about "If she wasn't my daughter." That's just... disgusting.

@ScribbledAdNauseum -- Didn't see that picture, but I wouldn't doubt it in the least. Also there a couple of awfully cozy looking pictures with his own daughter - Ivanka, as well as he has made some... interesting statements about her (Ivanka) desirability... again not accusing.... but... uh.... yeah
