I'm always looking for shows to watch on streaming services like Netflix. I watch all kinds of shows, like Star Gate SG1 or Once Upon A Time or Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or the Librarians.
Yes, I do prefer syfy if there's a good show being offered but there are times when I get tired of having to repeat shows, so I go looking for new stuff.
Well, I found a show that's kinda cute in a way or at least heart warming in many ways. The name of it is Call the Midwife. I think the character of Sister Monica Jane is hilarious.
Surprisingly I find the music that accompanies this show familiar and I was reminded how mom would insist on watching the Perry Como show.
I thought he was kinda cute but I was only about 14 or so and my taste in men was totally undeveloped.
Did you ever watch the Perry Como show? Well, if you're younger than 60 maybe not.
I just heard this song earlier today and thought I'd share it:
The picture above is of 2 of mom's turtles, I took a screen shot of a frame of the video I did of them.
The melody for Hot Diggity (Dog Ziggity Boom) is based on Emmanuel Chabrier's 1883 composition, "España."

I have started watching old episodes of the British show Bargain Hunt, I love it. I also watch Who Do You Think You Are both the British and the Australian versions.

It is @silvermist or at least I think it is. I enjoy science fiction or fantasy shows, I get reality every time I go out shopping.

I doubt many men would like that show, it was ok but I much prefer syfy like the Librarians or Star Gate sg1
What I did like about it were all the accents, listening to this show I had to really pay attention because of the way they pronounce words, I loved the Scottish accent the most.

Mom would sing along with him but I never got into it, I was a teen and preferred listening to the Beatles.
I've never heard of those 2 shows, but then I watch streaming tv and don't have any kind of cable.

Same here @fishtiger58 all dad ever listened to was country music and back then it was a total bore. I still don't like country but there is Southern Rock like CCR which I love.

Hi there fellow sci-fi fan. I have a recommendation for you. Dexter was aired from 2006 to 2013. Though its not science fiction, I highly recommend you watch it. Its about Dexter, a blood-spatter analyst who works for Miami Metro by day and moonlights as a serial killer by night. From a sci-fi fan to another, this show has everything we look for in a good sci-fi show. So, I recommend you watch it. Thats is if you haven't already! If you have I recommend some older shows like "Firefly", "X-Files", "Twin Peaks". Watch those, you wont regret it!

Thanks for the recommendations. I've watched the xfiles at least twice, it was really good. I've watched Firefly and Twin Peaks but neither one interests me enough to watch them again.
I tried to watch Dexter but I'm not fond of serial killers.

@rebelann Ha HA. Neither am I - a fan of serial killing I mean. But what intrigued me the most about the show were the questions, why he does what he does and how in the world does he get away with it? The show did a good job in giving me a convincing answer. Anyway, I understand that this show isn't for everyone but if can stand the blood, give it another try.

I love Scifi shows to Stargate Sg-1 and the other two, were awesome. I need to start rewatching them I really they would start up the stargates again. I watched HAVEN and used to love that too.. I got really annoyed with the SYFY channel and barely ever tune them in anymore.. I like all the superhero shows now. But am addicted to the home improvement type shows Like Fixer Upper and the Property brothers.. well some of them and the history channel - like American Pickers. And I could watch Barnwood Builders All day long

I watch all those shows on streaming services like Netflix, Amazon or Hulu, I don't have cable so I haven't a clue about the latter shows you mentioned but generally I don't get into shows about how to do things, just ain't my cuppo tea

We watched Kindness Diaries on Netflix and found it interesting.
Not much on television that we care to see.
We hear some Perry Como music from time to time.

I kinda like his songs but I rarely listen to anything unless I'm watching a TV show.

I'm old enough to remember Perry Como and his show. Hot Diggity is definitely a blast from the past
