Thunderstorm

Sky turned dark as the sun set, then small drops of rain started to trickle down. In a few minutes it went torrential, then all of a sudden a blinding flash of lightning, a sure signal that rolling claps of deafening thunder is soon to follow afterwards. I was startled even when I had anticipated it, its been a long time since the last one.
This went on for thirty minutes I was fearful and apprehensive at first the lightning bolts would strike the roof antenna I had to shut down all signals when I remember the lightning arresters on the fifty-meter towers that dominated the coast. Having taken that into consideration, I sat back and relaxed to enjoy the fireworks with its accompaniment that shook the rafters down to their foundations. I actually saw two, three huge bolts strike the towers before the storm moved out to the sea to spend the rest of its energy.
I feel weird doing it, enjoying the phenomenon.
Most of my housemates even the cats and dogs fear this natural display, mostly from the sound of thunder than from lightning which is more dangerous as it causes more damage. What is surprising is that this phenomenon happened right in the middle of the summer season, rare and unusual. Other than that, I do not mind the extra diversion it offered.
Do you also fear lightning or thunder in summer?

No I do not fear it I love storms and rain.. but I know people that don't like storms at all.. I'm just the kind that will stand outside and watch as much as I can.
