We REALLY need an edit function!

It's just a little frustrating. I misspell a word, but don't realize it until after I submit, then I can't do a thing about it. If you start the thread you can't even add a post stating that you made an error until someone else posts first. I'd like to suggest myLot provide us with an edit function. Please!!!

I totally agree with you, we DO really need some kind of edit function here. Yesterday I typed out a recipe for someone and for some reason it copied it over three (or four) times! There was nothing I could do about it even though it wasted a lot of their space. I looked for an edit function but couldn't find any, so I decided I had to leave it as it was and then made an additional post apologizing for my goof.

That's happened to me too... I've had a post duplicate itself and I wasn't able to correct the mistake. I'm guessing since this is a fairly new site, we haven't seen all that it will offer. Probably will see new features in the future.

I think the edit feature will be the most anticipated feature ever! I can't wait. I also sound fair too excited.

I know I think it's the most anticipated feature too, lots of people seem to want it...hope mylot listens, lol! (I can't wait either, LackingStyle, but I'm restraining my excitement too, lol)

Check you writing befor you submit your response. It only takes a 're-read'. It's not hard to do.

Long time after..... notice the word 'befor' above, I also re-read that one too. We do need a spellcheck and a delete button. Yes, we do!

I totally agree with you, sometimes I have too many windows open, and get confused on what i'm typing, but an edit function would be fabulous!

At least if it's in the topic text you can't even 'add a comment'it gives us annoying sods to write something humorous(?) in reply!

i have to agree. sometimes, we just pound on the keys so fast we don't recognize our mistakes after we've sent the message already. that happened to me, and i thought, could we actually unpost our own posts? i wish we could so people wouldn't have to respond to our wrong posts, right?

ANother user who agrees with the suggestion, infact i even thought of posting this but this guy posted it first WE need an edit button to miodify and correct our posts which were posted in the wrong way ALong with the edit button we also need a DELETE button , so that we can delete our posts. SOmetimes due to the heavy traffic on site , we press the submit button twice and find that the post has been posted twice . If we had the delete button we could delete it Infact some days back i saw a delete button i guess , it was a garbage sign , but i guess it didnt work perfectly so the admin had to remove it

I think an edit function as well as a spellcheck function would be great. They are pretty standard across the forum communities.

Days are not very far off for mylot to introduce such a system. Once you type the matter complete and before hitting the keys, you should be able to edit. Then again if some mistakes creep in, there should be edit key to ensure it is proof read properly and fully.
