Serial Killers are Unimaginative, Lazy Cowards

Not just that, but they don't offer any inspiration at all. For so long now, based on news sources across the land and beyond, the vast, vast, vast majority of victims murdered by serial killers (caught and convicted or assumed and alleged) have been innocent young women, prostitutes (who are usually forced sex slaves in bondage), young children, or the elderly. These serial killers seem to continually hunt for victims that are easy, mainly because many of these crimes are not meticulously planned but often crimes of passion or decided upon hastily and in the moment. They tend to be manipulative by nature so often prey on those troubled and have an unbalanced desire to please and be accepted. Troubled and emotionally traumatized women are particularly vulnerable. Many (but not all) are psychopathic. Now, this should be better understood, since most people believe psychopaths are evil and sinister, bloodthirsty monsters harboring a human skin suit in the basement. This is far from the case, but a common thought thanks to Hollywood. Instead, most psychopaths are lazy, sloven, and considerably undisciplined people who rarely turn to violence beyond being very manipulative of people who are susceptible. Most serial killers are power-hungry more than anything, but yet only pursue those who are mostly powerless or defenseless and also avoid any sort of power (legal or other people capable of dealing with them), and to make matters worse, they're quite narcissistic to the point of being egomaniacs. But yet, they hunt slow, easy prey in the dark. I say these serial killers over the last few generations just plain suck. They offer nothing in terms of imagination, and they appear utterly void of any sense of adventure. Haven't any of these people seen a single episode of 'Dexter'? Is being a serial killer synonymous with being too lazy to take out the trash or running on bald, under-inflated tires? While I recognize Hannibal Lecter is purely fictional and larger than life, but one might assume at least one of these serial killers would stop hunting prostitutes (slow, easy prey quite easy to lure in) and would spice it up a bit by going after the pimps, who are already wary and always armed. Don't any of these guys have any goals in life? Doesn't anyone want to raise the bar anymore? How much of a lazy dolt to someone have to be to prey on innocent young women and children when there are hordes of drug dealers, pimps, abusers of women, and gang members out there? Whatever happened to the thrill of the hunt? Killing a drug-addled prostitute who voluntarily crawled into your back seat must be about as easy as getting a value meal at the drive-thru. Wouldn't there be some adrenaline pumping in one's veins after successfully bagging an urban gang leader and getting away with it, leaving the minions seething? Hey, to all of you lazy goofs running around and going after the lowest hanging fruit, I say you guys need to grow a pair and develop a sense of daring. Hannibal Lecter once said it feels good to do bad things to bad people. So, why don't you go after the traffickers, pimps, dealers and pushers, wife-beaters and child molesters? By not doing this, don't you realize you're lumping yourselves in with their kind? Didn't you ever think of this, or are you too busy only thinking of yourselves? Go on a binge-watch of some Dexter seasons and garner some motivation and pep things up a bit. It is so eye-rolling boring to hear a news story about some poor, hundred pound female blind victim when it would be so more exciting to hear news stories about the fifth pimp found dead in his pimpmoble this month. Imagine how you'd feel knowing you enjoyed the thrill of the chase and actually freed some innocent victims for a change. There are no serial killer rules set in stone, you boring, listless fools. Raise the bar a bit and shake some things up some. You could start out small, such as going after the rubes who raise fighting dogs and torture the losing dog. Wouldn't some vigilante justice feel awesome when dealing with these freaks? You're giving monsters a taste of their own medicine and gathering the sympathy of The Humane Society! I don't to give anyone the impression I'm overtly calling for violence; I'm just saying people who feel compelled to bring harm and death to the innocent have viable options available to them, particularly in a world as loony as this one. You might already know Dexter only hunted and killed serial killers, and his ambition launched a successful TV show and numerous books and novels. In fact, rather than being seen as a villain, most people familiar with that show saw Dexter as a dark hero. Who doesn't want to be a hero? Come on, dudes. Who doesn't want to be a hero?

Very well said. It depends on ones's perspective as well. Like Ned Kelly, or Robin Hood. One side calls them heroes as they robbed the rich to help the poor. One side calls them criminals as they robbed rich people. Thanks for sharing.
