What to do when you want to be active and involved in the work place, but your boss does not want you too or makes a side comment about it?

You need to have a heart to heart talk with your boss to know what's the issue or the problem all about.

Why your boss doesn't want you to be involved? Unless there's a reason for it, you're allowed to participate if that's your job.
