His name will be Blair

When my little grandson arrives they will name him Blair. Blair was my Dad's name. My son and his Grampy were very close. They had a special bond from the time he was little. Colby looked up to Grampy. He wanted to be just like him. Whenever we went to visit he spent all his time outside with Grampy, following him around and asking questions. Wherever Grampy went Colby was right behind him. Every year we would go on vacation for two weeks and we would take my mom and dad with us. The kids loved that. They also loved going to their house whenever they got the chance. Colby would spend Christmas break, March Break and 2-3 weeks in the summer with his Grammie and Grampy. They loved having him there and he loved being there. Grampy even taught him how to drive the truck around the yard when he was 8 years old. They use to garden together, work on the truck together, take the dogs swimming together. It was always a joy to see how much he looked up it and adored his Grampy. Sadly when Colby was 10 years old Grampy passed away. It broke my heart the day I had to go pick up up at school and sit him down and tell him the news. He was devastated. He not only lost his Grampy but he lost his best friend too. Dad had a huge influence on his life and my son grew up to be such a fine young man because of that. Dad instilled good morals and values in him in the short time he was a part of his life. Colby never forgot those things. After Dad passed away he would still go there to help out Mom as much as he could. When he told me yesterday that they were going to call their new baby Blair I cried knowing how proud Grampy would be to know that they are going to name their son after him.
