Could a POTUS Possibly Be WORSE Than Donald Trump???

Seriously, with each passing day I get more distressed, depressed, dismayed and disheartened over what Donald Drumpf is doing to this great country and to the world! Trumpcare is going to hurt millions of people and the ones it will hurt the most are TRUMP SUPPORTERS! I wonder if they'll even realize it since many of them seem to just blindly believe every word he says even when the truth is right in front of them. He's likely created thousands more terrorists with his Muslim bans, despite the courts overruling them so far. YES, they are "Muslim bans" no matter how much he and his spinmeisters try to call them something else. Rudy Giuliani admitted it when he publicly stated that Donald had asked him to find a way to make a Muslim ban legal. He's hurt our longtime friendships with allies including England, Germany, Australia, Sweden and Mexico while still refusing to say a bad word about Russia or Putin. Since it seems like most of his Administration is somehow tied to Russia and since we still haven't seen his tax returns other than that small amount from 2005 I think we have reason to believe his loyalties are divided. I've heard that his false accusations against President Obama could be grounds for impeachment. What the hell is Congress waiting for??? If they won't do it for any other reason I'm sure they can find a sex scandal to use!

I don't think trump has hurt the relationship between UK and US. That recent thing about GCHQ was a bit stupid though and the fact that GCHQ made a comment shows they are mad as normally they never make statements about anything ever From what I read I think many trump supporters will maybe get a shock if trump does take apart obamacare because from what I'm reading, across multiple sources, trumps plans will leave a lot without healthcare and be a lot worse than obamacare. Most of what I read does seem to agree with this link. Just wondered...would most US people see CNN as pretty truthful and unbiased? To me they seem to be good and the equivalent of our BBC.
Obamacare touches more than just those buying individual insurance on the exchanges.

@Mike197602 CNN shows both sides, I would actually say they go way over board to show the hard rights point of view because they put some of the biggest wack jobs out there on TV everyday. I personally like BBC better because CNN sensationalizes their stories to much in regards to the people they bring on to show opposing view points instead of credible people from both sides like BBC does. Everyone is biased, but as long as they stick to the facts and not make things up, then I can live with that.

@crossbones27 over here many say the BBC is left leaning...I'd tend to agree but still have not found anything significantly better. To get a better understanding of world affairs I do look at al jazeera and RT and sometimes even fox news although in my opinion fox news has issues I don't think any news station sticks purely to facts as they always bring on the talking heads offering opinions. I don't want opinions I just want facts and then I'll make my own mind up.

I think @crossbones27 is right, CNN is pretty fair but they have a few regular commentators who are WAAYYY out there on the right. I know many consider them to be too liberal but I still prefer MSNBC to all of them although they've seemed to be trying to show more of the conservative point of view lately as well. Fox is the original "fake news", the translation of their name even says so, so I don't watch them at all. They don't even try to be fair. To be honest for awhile there during the campaign I was disgusted with them all. It was all Trump all the time. One of the other candidates from either party could be having a rally or giving an important policy speech and they'd interrupt to show Trump's plane landing somewhere. He showed up on every morning show everyday. The free air time he got was ridiculous. Now they're finally coming to their senses for the most part. Except for Fox, of course.

I agree, he seems to have gotten an equal helping of all the worst traits a human being can have. Everyone has a right to their own opinion but I honestly can't see how anyone could like him

@Taskr36 "Destroy" is a bit of an exaggeration since she trounced him in the popular vote... I guess I feel it's not necessarily "intelligent" to use childish and cruel insults and taunts against one's political opponents, it's just being a bully. Telling obvious lies on a daily basis, being called out on them with proof they're lies, often on tape, but still going out the very next day and repeating the same lies isn't being smart, it's showing what a pathological liar he is. Also, how much was spent against him is more or less irrelevant given the fact he got billions worth of free air time from the so-called "liberal media" throughout his entire campaign.

Thinking that he's stupid is a mistake. He crushed a field of intelligent and experienced republicans before destroying Hillary in the general election, even though she heavily outspent him, and had a long history in politics. He's a lot of things, but he's definitely not stupid.

Honestly, with all of his scandals like Trump university not paying taxes for a decade or however long, all the money he conned out of people. He should have never been President in the first place. I said this in a post I wrote not long ago, if he was your average Joe, he would be in prison. Since he became wealthy that way, many thought that was the only criteria needed to be a great President along with his hateful rhetoric.

@Taskr36 I know you don't like the Clintons or any Democrat but even if she were guilty of whatever you're accusing her of it wouldn't come close to matching the evil Trump has done. Seriously, who do you prefer to be in charge of the nuclear football? I've never been so afraid in my entire life. We have a delusional idiot in the White House who wakes up in the middle of the night to post idiotic tweets. There are other delusional leaders in the world who just might not take what he says without thinking too kindly. He's the worst and he might just be the last President.

@crossbones27, how about all the conflicts of interests and nepotism in this administration? I don't know how he's getting away with it! Now he's hired ANOTHER crooked Trump, his daughter-in-law, to head the tech department or something like that. Nobody seems to know what that department even is, what she'll do or what her qualifications are but I'm sure it's just another excuse to get another family member a security clearance. I'm wondering how crazy the Trumpsters would be going right about now if Hillary had won and Chelsea and her husband were given "unpaid" positions in the White House.

Now today (Monday), or yesterday now since it's actually the wee hours of the morning, he had several photo-ops with the brutal dictator of Egypt where he was shaking his hand enthusiastically and praised him to high heaven, saying how much they agree. He AGREES with a guy with a horrific human rights record and who almost rivals Putin when it comes to having people imprisoned and even killed.

Wow Annie! You're still here! I haven't been on this board in years, but it's nice to see people I remember are still around. Ok. So Trump isn't anywhere NEAR the worst president ever. First off, we've only had a few months of him, so it's hard to judge someone worst ever without at least a decent amount of material. His "Muslim ban," if you want to call it that, didn't create any terrorists. There's really nothing to back up that claim. If you really think that being rejected from coming to the US is enough to make someone a terrorist, than thank god they didn't make it here because, inevitably, they would have been triggered by something in this country and become a terrorist right here on our soil. I don't see how he's hurt any longtime friendships with other countries. I'll need some clarification on why you think he's done so. It's not like he sat back and watched Russia invade those countries the way Obama did with Ukraine. I've still seen nothing linking him to Russia other than standard business. The left's new obsession with Russia is actually laughable. As Obama would say "the 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back." We don't know his accusations against Obama are false. We do know that he was surveilled, even if they claim it was "incidental." Calling someone worst though, involves comparison to other presidents. To that I bring you FDR. The man threw over 100,000 innocent Americans into concentration camps based solely on race and ethnicity. He paid farmers to burn crops and kill livestock to artificially inflate the price of food. When people couldn't afford the inflated prices, they were forced into breadlines, run by the government. He prolonged the Great Depression for over a decade. He also instituted wage caps which led to pretax benefits like health insurance. That is precisely what started the nightmare of skyrocketing health care costs as health insurance proliferated the country. He even robbed people of their gold with an executive order. While you talk about a supposed Muslim ban, you're forgetting that FDR banned Jewish refugees, trying to escape Hitler, from entering the US. Trump clearly hasn't done anything in the last few months that could rival those actions, and it's highly unlikely that he'll do anything close in the next 4-8 years. That said, he is a republican, so it's unlikely that any atrocity committed by FDR would bother you as much as that.

@anniepa Remember that the word "but" negates what you said before it. See, democrats constantly brush off concentration camps and sending Jewish refugees to their deaths like it's no big deal. Take a step back and think about that. If you can brush off horrors like those, as well as what he did with burning crops and stealing gold from citizens, like a socialist dictator, ask yourself why. Once you have your answer, just apply that to Trump supporters who can bush off Trumps "grab em by the p***y" comment along with his general behavior. FDR was a racist, and literally used executive orders to push his racist agenda. You may believe Trump's a racist, but there's really not much to back that up. Playing into the birther crap wasn't racist. It was him lining up support from ignorant loudmouths in advance of a presidential run. It was an easy way to get free publicity. Trump's ban was foolish, and poorly designed, Most terrorists come from Saudi Arabia, and they were off the list. That said, it didn't include huge Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Indonesia, Pakistan, Malaysia, etc. If it were a Muslim ban, why leave those ones out? I mean, Saudi Arabia is pretty obvious, but why the others? As I said though, Trump supporters will dismiss his crap just as easily as you dismissed concentration camps.

@Taskr36 I didn't "dismiss" anything and to call FDR a racist while claiming there's no evidence of that in Trump is wrong. Trump has been a racist his entire life. I'm sure you're well aware of how he refused to rent to "colored" people back in the seventies and paid substantial fines for it. No terrorist who committed an act of terror on our shores came from any of the 7 nations in Trump's Muslim ban. The reason he chose those countries and not some of the other predominantly Muslim countries you mentioned is quite simple - he has no hotels, golf clubs or other business interests in those countries. I neglected to mention before when you disputed my claim that he'd created countless new terrorists that I didn't mean necessarily those who were refused entry into the US. It's a fact that ISIS and al Qaeda use these bans and other rhetoric that has come from the Trump campaign and administration as propaganda to show Muslims that we in America hate them, that we don't care about the many Syrian refugees and that we're basically the evil ones. I'm not stupid or naive enough to not be aware there are some Muslims who already hate us and will not matter what we do or do not do but there are also many decent Muslims who don't hate us - yet. I honestly believe Donald wants there to be an attack. I KNOW he was hoping for something horrific to happen before he took office.

@anniepa You did brush off FDR's actions though. How is Trump worse than FDR? How is anything he's done, in less than 3 months, comparable to concentration camps, robbing citizens of their gold, burning crops, killing livestock, turning away Jewish refugees, etc.? FDR imprisoned people based on race. Trump owned a building 40 years ago that had a poor record of renting to black people. Are you really saying Trump's actions were equal to or worse than FDR's? The list of countries he used came from the Obama administration. He didn't create the list himself. As you know, Obama bent over for Saudi Arabia as well, quite literally. There's a photo of it. Trump is an opportunist, so you're probably right, he would have been happy if something horrific happened before he took office to get him elected. Obama was the exact same way. I'm sure you remember his own chief of staff salivating at the thought of a good crisis to take advantage of.

Hope they find a reason to impeach him soon. He is really the worst possible person to sit in White House now. He does nothing except creating a mess in the government, is an embarrassment to US, and alienate all the allies of US.

I think there are lots of reasons to impeach him but as long as we have obstructionist Republicans in control of the House he'll be able to literally get away with murder.

Wait a moment before impeaching him. Everything he does turns to be a major failure, and he is a great example for the rest of the world of the harms of populism. I believe that he is dissuading people in Europe to vote for a far right populist candidate : the last elections in the Netherlands were a first test match and victory against a Trump like candidate, and we will have another one in France next month. I hope that he will not kill your environmental policy at a point where it will harm the rest of the planet, and that he will not start a new world war, but for the rest he is so unbelievably caricatural that he turns to be a blessing for foreign observers : you are not suffering for nothing.

It's the frog-in-the-pot syndrome: our government didn't become the bloated bureaucracy it is overnight, but gradually. Trump is trying to undo it immediately, which isn't going to work. Consider that seven months ago people wanted Obamacare repealed...now most people are in favor of it? What happened?? We do need an answer to this spend-spend-spend and regulate-regulate-regulate government that has slowly turned us into slaves to the system, but "let's just wipe it out and start over" isn't the answer. Unfortunately, that is what's going to happen when this country falls...and we are going to fall. Soon.
