Finally I see them - I am in love.

The large sized marigolds have taken years to get back here. There were seeds bought, seeds given to me in the past and none survived. This plant is from seeds that a friend of mine gave me this year.
I sowed the seeds and many of them germinated. I did not expect results but now I see a few of them standing tall.
I truly am in love with these marigolds.

They indeed are African Marigolds and I do not know how many times I tried growing them. They are so easy to grow. And finally here they are.

You are right about insects staying away where marigolds are present. You can say that again. Those seeds were indeed fertile

I am thrilled really. I sent a photo of this to my friend on FB. She is the one who gave me those seeds.
