HomeBased Job! - UpWork

March 22, 2017 2:10am CST
I thought doing homebased is as easy as 123. There were lots of sites that offers homebased jobs and UpWork is work of them. Varieties of jobs are offered from from data entry to virtual assistants to graphics, programmings and so many more. Clients offer good rates too depending on your skill sets. However, I am just confused. Signing up is very easy. Getting your profile approved is kinda disappointing. I have been waiting patiently only to receive a rejection mail. Obviously, I really want to just settle at home and work at its comfort. But, how do I get my profile approved?

During the earlier years, it is easy to be profiled and get hired. Nowadays, it is difficult because there are various talents that offer low rates.

Absolutely. The bidding is outrageous. I would understand because people are looking into earning at the comfort of their homes. Its getting crowded there actually.

@homebasedbobbie but no one is selecting me to do their jobs. I guess they trust the older members

@Nawsheen Yes. Because they look at your experience before they hire you.

with freelancer? If you are already able to bid a project then your profile is already approved. For upwork, you gotta have to make your profile hundred percent as well and take lots of exams.

To me those sites are scams. Perhaps if you had an extensive college education they would approve you but so far I have not met anyone who has had any luck with those kinds of sites.

My friend usually gets to have lots of clients in upwork. I get mine in freelancer.com. They have been working with upwork for quite a while now. And yes, you maybe right. Education probably would matter because you gotta have to sell your skill set for you to get accepted and start bidding for a project.

It isn't as easy as you think. You need to keep trying though. There is a lot of competition and it is difficult to make the kind of money you need to survive. Keep on getting writing experience, that can only help.

@homebasedbobbie isn't that true with any job. I would dearly love to make enough money at home to pay all the bills.

@HazySue Well, yes it is. You have to highlight the skills you have for them to hire you at a reasonable rate.

You are actually correct. You gotta have to sell yourself.

I have checked and many sites are asking money. I think it is difficult to get a fixed income online.

That is true. And I just dont want to shell out anything because the thought is, I am looking for a job. Not to pay for a job.

I know but how come it is just very easy to other people. You have to keep upgrading your skills and keep paying for your trainings. Urrrggghhh....

I don't think up works will work out. We have to keep on waiting to get work. It is really very difficult .
