Meaning: faced with two equally undesirable alternatives. having friends over from two different spectrums of life - with different likes and dislikes is most certainly finding myself between a rock and a hard place. How does one cater for them? Some don't eat meat, some don't eat fish, others don't eat veggies, then the rest are on a diet? REALLY PEOPLE . . . cant we all just agree to agree once in a BLUE MOON!!

We do have this in our group too. And if we are going out to eat then we choose a place where we have veg and non veg food too

I know the problem very well, ask them to bring their own food.

We are running into this problem more and more. We usually make a frittata which is vegetarian and should be low-fat but if someone doesn't like vegetables then you'd need to think of something else.

Maybe this is why we have freedom of choice and individual differences
