Sleep on left side is best!

I read on Facebook and now on Google that it is best to sleep on your left side and not your right side. Here are reasons why:
1. Facilitate lymphatic drainage.
2. Makes it easier for the heart to pump downhill.
3. Better elimination.
4. Support healthy spleen function.
5. Encourages proper digestion.
6. Helps circulation back to the heart.
7. Helps bile flow more freely.
Do you sleep on your left side? I personally like my right side but been trying to sleep more on my left side to see if it is true and if it helps.

@Hatley - Ms Patsie - Just be careful to not sleep upside-down and land on your head next to the bed instead of on top of it. -Gus-
Check my old poem out to understand what might happen otherwise.
What can the docs do when everything inside and outside their patient is backwards and is up instead of down? A novel cure is decided on and it works just fine. If you enjoy nonsense poems, this one is very nonsensical.

I always start off on my left side but during the night I roll over onto my right side and then back to my left. Those are all very informative reasons for sleeping on the left side most I didn't know

I've seen the video and told my husband that. Seems we both sleep on our left side, unless his shoulder is bothering him or if I need to change positions. However, I don't lay on my right side long, I always end up on my left later.

@enlightenedpsych2 I'm glad I took you up on it. Normally I ignore suggestions because they are typically not things I'm interested in reading. This was interesting and health-conscious.

@enlightenedpsych2 I sleep on my left side anyway, but then wake up on my back, so I only go to sleep on the left. Where I roll during the night is up to my motor skills!
And there's not much health left in me these days with blood clots and being unable to even sit down because of muscle knots and spasms. I think I'm just falling apart!

@enlightenedpsych2 The last few days, I thought of your post and started spending more time on the left side. I don't notice any differences yet.

@enlightenedpsych2 I probably spend part of the night on the left side. I can try to make it intentional. I am up and down all night. I look at my phone to see how the giraffe is doing, to do mobile Swagbucks, to do Bing searches or whatever. Then I read a book and try to go back to sleep. I will let you know if I remember.

I never slept on my left side until I got pregnant. That is the safest way to lay when pregnant as it helps the baby get the best blood flow or something and helps reduce acid reflux etc. I was always a belly sleeper before having children so it was tough to learn to sleep on my side. I try to sleep on my back now to reduce wrinkles forming but then am snore so my kids complain lol.

I sleep on the side now a days, that must be the reason why I couldn't sleep so peaceful before.
