Why did donald trump win the election?

I dont understand, because he was hated and it looks like he will lose for sure, and pummmmmmmm he won. What do you think happened?

Joan, part of it had to do with the fact that many US voters were sick of the same old thing. Donald Trump is different. His style is unorthodox compared to others who were running for President. Even if you don't like Trump, you have to admit that he is different (for better or for worse).

He lost the majority vote but won under the electoral college system. So he won because of the system. In some ways I'd say Hilary lost rather than Trump won...if you get my meaning.

@joanreyes00 I'd say so. If the majority of votes go to one person but another person wins that's a problem.

It is hard to say. Maybe there are some bad news about Hillary Clinton by the end and this is why people changed the mind and vote for Donald Trump.
